"Slow but surprising"
No it hasn't.
Not at all.
Slow start. The characters were typical but well rounded. I found myself become very irritated with the blind faith of these characters which means the author did a great job of forming them and exposing their flaws. The ending was not expected. I loved the setting and the cultural beliefs of the characters. They reminded me of several family members! Overall, pretty good read.
Yes! Excellente! The weaving of culture and the supernatural was superb as was the performance of the narrator. Loved it!!!!
