From spring to summer, autumn to winter, a lot can happen in a single year....
Tilly Parker needs a fresh start, fresh air, and a fresh attitude if she is ever to leave the past behind and move on with her life. As she seeks out peace and quiet in a new town, taking on a plot at Ivy Lane allotments seems like the perfect solution.
But the friendly Ivy Lane community has other ideas and gradually draw Tilly in to their cosy, comforting world of planting seedlings, organizing bake sales, and planning seasonal parties.
As the seasons pass, will Tilly learn to stop hiding amongst the sweetpeas and let people back into her life - and her heart?
A charming and romantic story certain to make you smile - perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Trisha Ashley, and Katie Fforde.
Ivy Lane was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.

I love gardening, overcoming obstacles and British accents. This novel provided all three. Easy listening.
I love Colleen Prendergast narration and that is why I picked this book.
I mostly enjoyed the story but I found it a little predictable. Some great characters is this book. I have never read Cathy Bramley before but I would give another book a go. It defiantly kept me interested and I was interested to find out what happened with Tilly
This book is a slow moving story, probably best enjoyed by the twenty something set. Charming narration kept me engaged. 3 stars.
"Charming & uplifting"
Lovely likable protagonist & feel good story.
I really wish Audible USA would make more of her books available!
"Great narrator, slow story"
Colleen Prendergast is a great narrator, but this story was not great. It was slow & in parts it felt like the author was trying too hard to build intrigue (and it wasn't working). Didn't love it.
"Good, but predictable"
Nice listen, just nothing too shocking, relaxing. More great narration by Colleen Prendergast.
"Fizzled at the end...."
I love the story of her recovering from tragedy with the help of community but I am not at all crazy about how it ended. The Last couple of chapters are like cold water to the face and the romance seemed a bit juvenile. It's worth reading for the main characters development however.
Easy listening while pottering around the house/garden or taking a car journey. Pleasant characters and generally gentle story line.
"Ivy Lane.... A lovely warm escapism"
This book made me feel relaxed and warm inside, lovely narration and by the end felt I knew the characters, really enjoyed the escapism felt like a therapy would definitely recommend to anyone who just feels like a good book to escape and chillax for a while
Loved it. A simple but heartwarming story. Looking forward to the next one. Would recommend
"Good insight into the slow journey of healing"
If you are looking for a riveting, suspense-full read then this book would not be for you. It's gentle & unfurls slowly, blossoming with soft pushes from the minutiae/ little things in life that actually make all the difference to how we feel. I never " got" the connection between the main character & a probation officer that turned up briefly in the story. The romantic theme was a bit too drawn out for my liking. On the whole a quiet, non pretentious read.
"cracking good story"
Heartwarming, life affirming & hopeful
I wouldn't its an original and considering its chic lit its hard to be original
A personal tell of the tale
Life growth love
A lovely story. Very believable. Full of hope.
Very ease to get into the story and very hard to stop listening too and get on with other things.
"Really childish and dull."
Really childish and unrealistic got to half way though and wished I had returned it for a credit but kept hoping it would get better.
"My review on Ivy Lane."
A very enjoyable book & loved Colleens, story telling. Listened to it in less than a week,
"A good listen but a bit farcical at times"
I liked the way the story unwound although it was all quite predictable. The Christmas party muddle was a bit convoluted to be believable which was a shame and slightly annoying but otherwise a good listen.
"Nice easy listen"
This was a nice gentle listen, perfect for pottering or doing jobs to.
The characters were varied and grew as the story progressed and at no point did I get bored of their antics.
The narration was very good and clear and I would listen to more by this narrator.
All in all, would recommend.
