Publisher's Summary

Tala is preparing for her elaborate Middle Eastern wedding when she meets Leyla, a young woman who is dating her best friend.

Spirited Tala and shy Leyla could not be more different from each other, but the attraction is immediate. I Can't Think Straight explores the clashes between East and West, conventions and individuality, creating a humorous and tender story of unexpected love and unusual freedoms.

Love story, strong character, great culture background and beautifully written

I watch the movie first and found more detail in book about all character and somehow the story related with me whom live in eastern culture so I can understand the struggle Of Tala and Leyla. But love is love.. and love win. Btw, Lisa Ray and Sheetal Sheth did great!

Absolutely loved it.

As a fan of the movie - and being well aware that when reading a book for which a movie was made can potentially do either format a disservice, as expectations are raised - I was delighted to find the novel as vibrant and heartfelt as the movie. The book is beautifully phrased and a pleasure to listen too. I am certainly now also a fan of the novel.
