Two damaged men.
One dangerous mission.
One healing love.
These are the men of Hard Ink.
Hard Ink Tattoo owner Jeremy Rixey has taken on his brother's stateside fight against the enemies that nearly killed Nick and his Special Forces team a year ago. Now Jeremy's whole world has been turned upside down by the chaos - and by a brilliant, quiet blond man who tempts him to settle down for the first time ever.
Recent kidnapping victim Charlie Merritt has always been better with computers than with people, so when he's drawn into the SF team's investigation of his army colonel father's corruption, he's surprised to find acceptance and friendship - especially since his father never accepted who he was. Even more surprising is the heated tension he feels with sexy, tattooed Jeremy, Charlie's opposite in almost every way.
With tragedy and chaos all around them, temptation flashes hot, and Jeremy and Charlie can't help but wonder why they're trying so hard to be good.

I'm so glad they finally got together, though I wished this novella was much much longer than 3.5 hrs . I loved it and it could of read more with the boys plus hearing the rest of the plans as well, so I'm hoping there's another book to follow as I just love the hard ink series and need to know how it all ends. wtg Laura on this series your an awesome author.
"I love this series"
I'll be honest, being a heterosexual female, I wasn't sure how this novella would make me feel. I've only listened/read one other m/m book, the Black Dagger brotherhood, and because of the long relationship of those two characters, it wasn't wierd at all. I have always been perfectly open with anyone's choice of sexual preference, what I was unsure about was being privy to m/m sexual interactions. Silly? Yeah, it was. I think it was because it was an experience that I couldn't personally relate to. I know now that the specifics of the act itself doesn't even matter, it's the emotional closeness that really tells the story. That point is made very clear, in this novella and anyone who loves a romance will enjoy this tale.

Glad that Jeremy and Charlie got their own story. They are perfect for each other though quite different.
"Not my Norm, but so Hot!"
This is the first Male-Male romance i have ever read but wow, it was so hot! I love this series and this was a sexy, steamy, dreamy little novela
"FINALLY! A love story for gay characters"
Gay characters in romance novels are usually the side kicks or background noise. Every now and again they get a more significant role. But in a mainstream romance series? Never! Until this one. I adore these boys and it's very satisfying to read/listen to their story of getting the happily ever after. Plus, the steamy romance was awesome! A++++
"Loved this one, too!"
Loving, steamy, heartwarming.
Even though it was short, there was relationship development. Although, I should mention that I've listened to the other books in the series so I'm not sure how much my view of their relationship is influenced by their parts in those other stories.
I've loved the whole series and I'm glad these two got their own story. It was more about two people in love than two men in love. I wish more people could see life this way. It was beautiful!
"favorite of the series"
This was my favorite of all the hard ink books! loved how it came alive in audio!
It was short but I really enjoyed it...They are just what they each needed and fit right in with everyone else.
yes as long as it doesn't bother them that its m/m
Charlie goes after what he wants
not sure if i have
i suppose so
great book love the hard ink novels
This novella follows on directly from book 3. I've got to say I'm really enjoying this series. No action in this novella, not Special Forces action I mean, plenty of hot m/m action though. The gang are just regrouping following the attack on their building. This story centres around Jeremy and Charlie, both of them feel guilty over recent events and both managing to open up to each other about that guilt. Their friendship is already strong, and as they move into relationship territory, Charlie struggles with being openly in a relationship with Jeremy. With Jeremy's help Charlie learns to overcome his fear. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, my one gripe would be that I would have liked to have explored both Jeremy and Charlie more and had it extended to a full length novel.
