A standalone romance from the New York Times best-selling author of Archer's Voice.
Kira Dallaire is desperate. Some challenges in life seem too hard to overcome. With little money and even fewer options, the quick-witted and vibrant 22-year-old needs to reinvent herself. Known for her generous heart and impulsive personality, she devises a survival plan - possibly her most outrageous idea yet.
Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope. Some obstacles in life seem too hard to overcome. Betrayal definitely being one of them. With limited capital and dwindling resources, he is attempting to resurrect his failing family vineyard - a self-imposed vow seemingly destined to fail. That is until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish, unexpected proposition that's impossible to refuse.
What begins as a temporary business arrangement soon evolves into more as vivacious, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself. But as their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, they'll realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb and that lies and deception rarely precede a happily ever after. As Kira and Grayson race toward their destiny, they will discover that some vows are meant to be broken, and others are worth risking everything for...even your very own heart.

Another beautifully written story my Mia Sheridan. I totally fell in love with Kiera's kindness and her spirit. Greyson what tormented soul, lost and alone believing he was not worthy of love. That was until Kiera came into his life and set it ablaze!
This was my first audio narrated by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden and it was perfect!
"Beautiful Heart-Warming Story!"
This is the first story I've listened by Mia Sheridan, and I enjoyed her writing style, plot, and characters. There was enough angst, and banter between both the H/h, they both captivated, held my attention, and had me rooting for both of them. I especially liked Kira's character. She was smart, witty, and had a carefree personality. When she was down and out, instead of throwing in the towel, she devised a plan, and was the one to save the day.
Grayson's heartbreaking past definitely reflected in his personality, and Kira's nickname for him "The Dragon" was a great description, but she slowly breaks down his walls.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden are two of my favorite narrators! I really enjoy their performances, and think they did an AWESOME job with the characters voices, and emotions. These two are the reason I actually bought this audio when it was offered as an Audible Daily Deal. I knew I couldn't go wrong and was not disappointed.
Grayson's Vow was a heartwarming romance that was more of a slow build versus instantly falling in love, and the sex scenes were mild. Overall, a sweet story with a HEA that will leaving you feeling satisfied. Definitely a credit worthy audio.
"Wow, what a disappointment"
What happened to the 5 star master story teller? Mia Sheridan is one of my absolute new favorites but this book was hugely disappointing. I've read/listened to almost all of her other books up to now and LOVED every one of them. This one was SO repetitive, I wanted to scream and stop half way through. I kept asking myself - was this truly by Mia Sheridan?!! It was your typical, cookie cutter, "woe is me, I'm not staying, so I can't get involved" dialog over & over & OVER!.I get it already!!! It's like beating a dead horse every other minute. And they didn't have sex until towards the end, which then became tedious to the story. Normally, when I get to the end of one of her books, I bask in the warm fuzzies and then go through withdrawals, missing the characters. This one? Not so much.
Still, I'm waiting for her next book, Midnight Lily, to go audible so I hope she hasn't sunk to the level of mediocre, formulaic, repetitive, dime-a-dozen romance authors. And I hope she doesn't keep using Maxine Mitchell as narrator because she over emphasizes all her words and it's extremely distracting and annoying. Nobody talks like that in real life so why ruin a good story by talking weird? Joe Arden was excellent as the male voice, otherwise it would have been a total loss.
"A TEMPESTUOUS JOURNEY THAT ENDED SO BEAUTIFULLY"
Kira has come from a privileged family but her powerful Father is arrogant, dictatorial, cold and very manipulative and Kira found out his true motives when she walked in on her Fiancé in a very compromising position and understandably she called off the Wedding. But, when her Father demanded that she was to go through with the union, Kira had had enough and disappeared overseas for a year under a cloud of negative tabloid gossip. Now she's back and refuses to agree to her Father's plans for her future so unfortunately she's now sleeping in her car and is just about penniless. Kira's only hope is her inheritance but sadly she can't touch it - that is unless she gets married...... and then fate steps in and she overhears a very interesting conversation that gives her a crazy impulsive idea.
Grayson, an ex Con, was left the now struggling Vineyard by his late Father and he's had to lay people off, cut back and sell valuables - and, to make matters worse, he's just been turned down for a loan so his prospects, and future, are looking bleak. That is until a fiery temptress proposes a mutually beneficial business deal that he just can't refuse - a marriage in name only, separated after two months and divorced within the year and for that he'd receive half of Kira's inheritance. What could possibly go wrong?...... well, as it turns out, plenty.
These two loveable characters disliked and annoyed the Hell out of each other right from the start - both choosing to ignore the sizzles that they feel whenever they touch. There's witty and quick witted banter between them as Grayson calls Kira a Witch and Kira labels him as a Dragon. He is a handsome, sexy Playboy who ruthlessly told Kira on their first meeting that she's 'not his type' and thought she was a spoilt privileged Princess (which was far from the truth). They both have/had Daddy issues and Grayson's childhood was heartbreaking, added to that, his brother stole and married Grayson's girlfriend whilst he was helpless Prison. So they weren't relationship material, it's certainly not a match made in Heaven and it had an expiry date from the start...... and yet slowly these two enemies learnt to trust one another, lean on each other and they dared to dream...... until secrets were uncovered that resurrected the impenetrable wall around Grayson's heart once more.
Worth a credit? Yes and it's definitely worth 5 stars too because I just didn't want to stop listening to this very addictive and enjoyable story and when I absolutely had to press the 'pause' or 'stop' buttons then I just couldn't wait to get back to it. Alternate POV's, great narration, a slow to develop romance that had it's fair share of pitfalls, a few secondary characters and a couple of sweet, tender and passionate sex scenes.
"Pretty much has all so went with 5 stars!"
Compared to so many others I have listened to lately, this one kept me interested so I gave it five stars. It had angst, second chances, and romance so I really liked. Narration was true dual (mostly every other chapter) and both were fine. I ended up wanting to listen to all in one setting so that occupied a whole day sadly lol. There are so many out there that I found completely uninteresting so I think readers/listeners will like this one.
"Good, Heartwarming Story"
This one did not suck me in like some of her other ones, but it was still good. I enjoyed the listen, but I could put it down which is how I judge how good a book is.
I have read many of Mia sheridans books, and this one was a disapointment. It was too long and in the end it was really boring. I also did not like that the heroine forgave the hero after he act like a big ass.
"Great story, good narration!"
I love Mia Sheridan! Seriously, all of her books are great and they're only getting better with each one.
This book was no exception. The romance was a slow build-up completely believable. The heroin was great as was the hero (albeit he was a little broody at times).
The female lead has one of the best personalities of any I've read in a long time. She's a free spirit but vulnerable too, she has a playful side and was completely sweet without being an eye-rolling Mary Sue. There's so many female leads in fiction-land that make me want to gouge my eyes and ears out while reading/listening to a story, so when I come across such a well written one I get really excited!
There was a lot more going on with this book than just the romance. Both the leads had separate issues to deal with (as is the case with all of Mia's books) and they were both handled very well while flowing together nicely with one another.
Great book, I can't recommend this enough!
"The Little Witch and The Dragon"
Yes! I already have! Its an amazing love story.
Grayson’s Vow is a gorgeous and emotional story about love, strength and perseverance.
I love when I get an audiobook that has a male and female voice and they both make you feel like you are in the story!
I cheered, cried, laughed, laughed hysterically a few times!
I am new to the world of Mia Sheridan’s books and without a doubt she will become a favorite writer of mine! Her writing style is beautiful.
Grayson’s Vow is an unconventional but passionate love story in a very unlikely circumstance. I was hooked within the first chapter!
The story begins on Kira who is currently homeless and out options, except one. She can get married to get her grandmothers money. She refuses to accept help from her father and is very determined to make it on her own. This is when fate as she believes brings her to cross paths with Grayson Hawthorn, a handsome ex-con who she remembers his name because her father had influenced how severe his sentence in jail would be. He is trying to get a loan to save his family’s vineyard and is denied because of his record. So she sees opportunity to help him and help her and make up for what her father had done without him knowing.
So when she walks into his home with the wild idea to get married for the money he thinks shes lost it of course! I love the names they have come up with for each other. She calls him the Dragon and he calls her Little Witch. He thinks she is a spoiled rich princess who has fallen from her high horse. He doesn’t want to take up her offer but because he wants to save his family vineyard he does. You can feel the tension and anticipation of them wanting to know more but they arint ready to get there yet. The more time they spend together the more they start to feel for each other. Their personality’s do not mix well. They are both stubborn and headstrong and it causes lots of quarrels, some that are hilarious to witness!
Grayson has a very tragic past. He is bitter and untrusting and has built this wall around himself to protect him from getting hurt again. But Kira’s fiery attitude slowly but surely melts the walls he has so carefully built. He finds himself wanting Kira more as time goes on. As he continues to see who she really is and not who he assumed she was he desires her even more!
I love the other characters in the book. Charlotte and her concoctions are a hoot! And Walter was a darling.
Grayson’s Vow is a gorgeous and emotional story about love, strength and perseverance. How love is not always beautiful but it can hurt too. This is an amazing read and I highly recommend it. I cannot wait to dive into more of Mia’s stories!
"Awesome, incredible, loved it❤️"
Mia Sheridan has done it again. Grayson's and Kira's story. Grayson a man with a lot of baggage from his past and a hard shell, Kira stemming from a wealthy upbringing obviously running from something. It all starts out with a business deal presented by Kira to Grayson. To good to turn down Grayson accepts, this seeming the perfect way to help getting his vineyard back to were it should be. And best of all there are no strings attached, no feelings involved. For Kira it's the perfect plan to finally cut her ties from her father who has different plans in mind for her.
Grayson's first impression of Kira is as someone of a spoiled upbringing but soon finds he has been wrong about her. Feelings do develop between the two and their fake union may proof to be more than just pretend. But things don't go as smooth and their pasts seems to catch up with them. Will they be able to work through the obstacles put in their way?
Another brilliant story by Mia. Your hooked from the first chapter and can't stop untill you're done. A very emotional story. The characters capture your heart. The narrating incredible. I'd give this story more then 5 stars if I could. A definite must get. Congrats Mia❤️
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. It captured me from start to finish. Great narration is what made this an overall very good book. I did not want it to end.
