The plot is a little thin, but the characters are pleasant and the narrator is just right.
"Delightful tale of love, family and finding both"
With the wilds of Scotland in the background, the story of Gerald and Elizabeth brings surprises to the brother and sister when reunited. The narrator makes each character come alive in just the right way for this unique family saga. I was reluctant to stop listening when it was necessary and eagerly returned to learn what happens to Gerald and especially Elizabeth as surprises are put in their paths.
A quiet romantic little book with hardly any substance, ideal for 'People's Friend' readers. The narrator appears to think it is a children's story.
