Since Georgie Quinn's mother died, the highlight of her life has become "jogger stalking" every morning with her roommates, Tess and Cat. Stuck running the senior center her mother founded in Newport, RI, until a replacement director is found, Georgie dreams of returning to her glamorous life in Atlanta. As that life begins to unravel, she discovers a whole new one in Newport where the jogger turns out to be sexy detective and tree hugger Nathan Caldwell. Determined to get her mind off her many problems - including a possible threat to her own health - Georgie indulges in what she intends to be a no-holds-barred one-night stand with Nathan. Unfortunately, Nathan has other ideas and sets out to have a relationship with her. Tess, on the run from an abusive husband, and Cat, who raised her younger brother and sister, hook up with Nathan's brothers, Ben, an injured Iraqi war veteran, and Ian, a single father and talented musician. Add a zany cast of seniors who seem determined to drive Georgie slowly mad with their never-ending needs and comparisons to her sainted mother, and you've got the ingredients for a fast-paced, often comical, emotional journey that leads Georgie straight to the home of her heart.

"Enjoyable Story Lost by the Narrator"
Georgia on My Mind: A Sexy Contemporary Romance, written by: Marie Force, and narrated by: Holly Fielding would have been more enjoyable had I read it to myself, or with another narrator.
Holly Fielding, the narrator, has a somewhat cute and girlie voice (sometimes becoming too "sing/song") that might be better used in young adult books whose characters are all female.
Unfortunately, she becomes monotone and bullish sounding when it comes to male voices, making it very difficult to enjoy.
I believe the story is sweet and solid enough to be enjoyable, but I had to leave it several times, due to the narrator's voice, in order to return to it later and finally finish.
Had I known what I know now, I would not have used a credit for this performance. Sorry.
It's a nice story, but I hate the weak female characters. Tess is fabulous, but Georgie and Cat are annoying. I don't find anything appealing about women who don't understand themselves and have to poll a committee to make a decision.
"A peach of a romance from Marie Force"
Another sexy romance from Marie Force that didn't disappoint.
This story is like three romances in one. Narrator is good.
I enjoyed this book very much. Georgia is a girl who knows what she wants and Nathan is a man who love her and his family.
"Story 'okay', but horrible narration"
I listen to Marie Force's "Fatal" series and like it as a light murder/mystery listen, so I decided to give this book a try as a romance listen. It is not very good. I like Holy Fielding - I've listened to other performances by her - but in this book her narration is not up-to-par.
No. Bad narration, Holly cannot do the voices of the many men in the senior center.
"Totally annoying book"
I will skip Marie Force from now on. She has shown that she has no idea what she's writing about and just makes up nonsense,
This book is preposterous. The author needed to do some serious research before making such a huge deal about recycling styrofoam. It's not accepted by recycling companies! And yet it was a HUGE deal in the book. Also, the whole thing about 3 roommates finding true love simultaneously with 3 brothers is ridiculous, especially when one of them ends up with a guy who has a beloved daughter she acts like she can't stand for most of the book. No loving father would subject his kid to that! There were some pleasant moments throughout the story, but most of it just left me wondering what the author was thinking.
"3 Story lines in one was a nice surprise. "
Didn't enjoy the narrators voice changes too much. But there was enough of a difference that they were distinctive. Overall loved the story. Wish there had been more to the side stories, but was happy they were resolved by the end.
