Publisher's Summary

Friendship on Fire is the sixth book in the Love in Bloom series. While Friendship on Fire can be experienced as a standalone novel, for even more listening enjoyment you may want to hear the Love in Bloom series in series order.

Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break - working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and - just maybe - explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.

Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.

Josh and Riley's friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every erotic caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the design.

Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry - and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.

    Story
"More Braden's read by BJ Harrison"

I'm getting addicted to the audiobook version of the Braden's. I was already addicted to the books, so it only make sense I would be the same for the audio version. BJ Harrison's voice just pulls you in and keeps you hanging on. I love his voice and he reads each character so well, I still love hearing him read as Jade...but he does so well on all of them. Friendship on Fire is Riley and Josh and I love this story. You got a small glimpse of them in Rex (Josh's brother) and Jades (Riley's best friend) book and their story only got better in Friendship on Fire. Josh and Riley are made for each other. I have no idea how Melissa Foster comes up with her stories but I'm so glad I get to read them and now I get to have them read to me by that sexy voice of BJ Harrison. So thank you both so very much for having a book that I can get lost in.... another satisfied reader/listener. I loved it!!!!

    "Great story!!"

This was another great book by Ms. Foster as the Love in Bloom series continues. I enjoyed reading Josh and Riley's journey to love as the pair navigate their feelings and insecurities along the way as well as the conflicts of their boss/employee relationship despite having feelings for each other from their youth. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series as a means to catch up with their story as well as the developing stories that can come out of this series. I enjoyed the narration of this book in that the narrator did well in the telling of this story making the entire story flow well. I also enjoyed how well the narrator did with differentiating the different characters of the story making them unique to their personalities and realistic to listen to. I enjoyed this story from start to finish and would recommend it to others.

    Story
    "hot"

Another awesome book by Melissa Foster and narrated by BJ Harrison. Riley Banks is starting her dream job in New York. She will be working for Josh Braden. They have both had a crush on each other since they were in high school. Once they come together they fall hard for each other. Can their love keep them together when Riley is accused of stealing another designers designs. This is one of my favorite books by Melissa Foster. You can never go wrong by reading one of her books.. I am loving the audio books. Highly recommended!!!!

    Story
"Fun, easy, sexy, and oh so steamy."
What did you love best about Friendship on Fire?

Riley Banks has finally seen her dreams start to come true. She has a job as a fashion design assistant in Manhattan working for her high school crush, Josh Braden. Josh and Riley’s friendship heats up quickly once she gets settled into Josh’s sisters apartment and starts her new job. With steamy kisses and hot caresses their love blooms and they cannot deny their feelings. When Riley’s mentor, Claudia, accuses her of stealing a design from her, Riley’s is doubting her life as a fashion designer and her life with Josh.

Melissa Foster did not disappoint. With each book in this series I have seriously crushed on the leading men. Josh fell right into that crush area. He is sexy, rich, independent, and successful. He is also loving, faithful, and protective of those he loves. I love that each of the leading women in the books is also successful and strong willed. Riley does not let Josh walk over her, whether in their love life or in her career. She struggles with Josh’s love and how their relationship will be perceived in their work place.

This series of books are easy to read. Fun, easy, sexy, and oh so steamy. Friendship on Fire showed real life struggles, family values (standing by what you believe), and love. I highly recommend this book and the entire series to all chic-lit lovers.

    Story
    "Another Hit For Melissa Foster"
What did you love best about Friendship on Fire?

Josh. He is the best part about this book. He is the whole package. I loved how he was so sensitive to Riley's wants and needs. Foster has written a great family dynamic making it easy to be drawn into the Braden family.

What other book might you compare Friendship on Fire to and why?

The Devil Wears Prada is similar.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

B J Harrison has a great voice. He is able to transition between the characters without problem. The only negative for me would be the few times his voice crescendos during the more intimate moments. For me this was not necessary and took away from the story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Oh the tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."

    Any additional comments?

I had a hard time with Riley's charcter. She came across a whiney and so insecure. I didn't feel as though she was Josh's equal. At first I thought it might be how her character was being read, but as the book went on I knew it was just how Riley was written. Not one of Foster's stronger females. The story in it's entirety is great and I love how Foster keeps bringing in all the family members.

    "Friends to lovers"

I love all of Melissa Fosters books and this one did not disappoint. I adore the way BJ was able to enhance the story further by using different voices and he brings warmth to the story as well. Definitely worth listening to.
