In this third book in the sexy, suspenseful The Secret Life of Amy Bensen series, from New York Times best-selling author Lisa Renee Jones, we meet Amy's brother, Chad - and the woman who either loves him or wants him dead.
Six years ago Chad's hunt for a dangerous treasure turned deadly when his family home was set on fire, and his parents were killed. Faking his and his sister's deaths to protect her from further retaliation, he set her up in a new life with a friend's help, letting her believe he'd died.
But now the men who hired Chad to find the treasure have found him, imprisoning and torturing him to learn where it's hidden. A dark-haired beauty named Gia helps him escape, promising him access to his worst enemy. And, as he tries to unravel the deep secrets of the past, he starts falling for her...only to discover she's not what she seems.
Unable to trust anyone, Chad focuses on only two things: protecting his sister, Amy, and getting revenge. Is love even possible in the midst of heartache?

"Definitely worth the listen!"
I almost didn't read this book, but I'm glad I did.
I really liked the first one, but not so much the second so I wasn't sold on trying the third... Having it from Chad's point of view is was ultimately pushed me to continue the series and I'm really glad I did.
This book basically answers all the questions that piled up while reading the first two. We finally get the full story on what happened six years ago, we learn who we can and cannot trust, and then there are some more crazy twists thrown into the mix to keep it interesting.
Forsaken is packed full of action, suspense, romance, and most importantly... answers!
This is the third installment in the series and I found it less interesting and repetitive . I only continued because I wanted to know how this relates to Any and Liam's story. And the narration by Sebastian York is always superb. (I love his voice).
The main character, Chad is obnoxious and not very likable. He has few redeeming qualities. His love interest Gia is a saint. If you're reading the series you probably can skip this installation except all of the reasons for Amy's six year ordeal are revealed.
"Best Narrator and great story"
Hot, suspenseful and drama
Everything! His voice was spot on for this performance!
YES! But a girl has to sleep
not as good as the first couple in the series, but still excellent. Sebastian York definitely brings out more of the story with his reading and voice.
"New story line"
This is book three in a series but the main character of the last two books are not the main character in this book, it was a pass for me
"Love the narrator!"
This is a very engrossing story of Amy's brother, Chad and told from his point of view. The plot is fast moving with plenty of suspense. The narration was fantastic by my favorite narrator who I believe could make the common grocery list sound sexy! I enjoyed this book so much and this series is becoming one of my favorites, as this is the second time through. I am now a new fan of this author.
