Story
Blaze exposes the new order of women and power in the cut-throat arena of up-market magazines. The idealistic baby boomers have been pushed aside and it's every woman for herself. An intimate look at four women coping with their private and public lives in the world where scheming and fox cunning seem to beat skill and talent, where sexism and ageism in office politics label women over 30 over the hill. Blaze is the story of women trying to survive, to compete, while maintaining friendships and finding happiness. In this pressure-cooker world, something has to give and for some women it isn't worth the fight.

Story
The prospects for the 1907 archaeological season in Egypt seem fairly dull to Amelia Peabody. Her adored husband, Professor Radcliff Emerson, has been ignominiously demoted to examining only the most boring tombs in the Valley of the Kings, but they are determined to make the most of a bad situation. This year, however, the legendary land of the pharaohs will yield more than priceless artifacts, for the desert guards even deeper mysteries that are wrapped in greed - and sealed in murder.
Publisher's Summary
Queenie Hanlon has a perfect life. She's the mother of two adoring children, the wealthy owner of a thriving outback station, and the lover of handsome bushman TR Hamilton. Each way bet
Absolutely loved the story, as usual Di Morrissey created a fabulous journey within the pages. However I hated the narrator, wrong on so many levels, spoilt the whole thing for me. Her phrasing, her intonations left me cold. Any love scene or expressive moment was completely stifled by the hesitant and stiff reading.
