Critic Reviews

"An absorbing story - part romance and part mystery, with plenty of both, and lots of action to keep the pages turning." ( Aussie Reviews)

A teenager's level of literature

A sweet simplistic story probably best suited to young teenagers. It's interesting set in the outback of Australia and a nice romance. Not too complicated.

Story okay but narration cringey

I have read/listened to all of Fleur McDonalds books and while I usually love them, this one was just a bit flat and predictable. I almost called it quits due to the cringe-worthy narration. The awkwardly deep voices of ‘Shell’ with unnatural intonation. The intonation used for Dave also made him seem like a Jerk, which totally jarred against his characterisation.

Great book

Prologue was good but found first chapter a bit slow but really picked up after that. Another awesome book!!

Great audible book.

A great story with a twist set in the outback. We enjoy Fleur's audible books. Very well written.
