"Not bad at all"
While I found the book was too short the story was pretty good. I listened/read all 5 books only 3 made the cut. Sadly Hawk and Easy didn't get the best stories. I like Izzy because she was a really strong, no nonsense woman. I loved how she stood up to Doc and made things happened. He was a bit of a twisted mess and she was more than willing to stand by him and help him. I would have liked a couple of extra chapters to finish the series properly.
"No! This series can't be over!"
This series was an awesome ride and I've really enjoyed listening to each of characters stories! While Doc's story was really good, I felt it was too short, and slightly underdeveloped. I'm definitely looking forward to moving on to Dahlia's other audiobook series Rapid City Stories!
"And we end on Doc! Great finish."
The last major character in the Burnout series is Doc. This is also a fast listen. West gets right to the point on unraveling Doc's mysteries. The romance happened a little too fast in this book, she could have played out the suspense a little more, but it was well within the excellent.
Looking back over the five novels, in order of best, I'd say: Shooter, Hawk, Doc, Easy and Tex. Except for Tex, I think hared core genre people will enjoy the series.
"Two lonely individuals find love"
Izzy is an independent female and Caleb did not try to change her.
I felt the author did a great job of depicting the development of the relationship. And I must mention the narration, it was superb.
I prefer this story, I did not like the Tex storyline.
"Love this series!"
This series is absolutely one of my favorites. I really like all of the characters. The one exception is the book, Tex. It simply was not for me but I love all the other books in the series and very much enjoyed a followup on a character, Preacher, who we meet in this book. I'm now reading other books by this author.
"Not long enough"
Love the characters, the book was way to short for the end of the series. I would have was assumed doc's story had more depth to it
"This book is sooo Good... 😊"
I'm so hooked by the quality, humour and sexiness of the different characters of the Burnout series .
My only wish if I was granted one would be more of these from Dahlia West, I am saddened to think these stories end here 😢
Mason Lloyd's voice is perfectly suited to the Burnout series of stories... yummy😊
