Julian Savage was golden. Powerful. But tormented. For the brooding hunter walked alone. Always alone, far from his Carpathian kind, alien to even his twin. Like his name, his existence was savage. Until he met the woman he was sworn to protect.
When Julian heard Desari sing, rainbows swamped his starving senses. Emotions bombarded his hardened heart. And a dark hunger to possess her flooded his loins, blinding him to the danger stalking him. And even as Desari enflamed him, she dared to defy him - with mysterious, unparalleled feminine powers. Was Desari more than his perfect mate? Julian had met his match in this woman, but would she drive him to madness - or save his soul?

story was good, but narrator voice for characters didn't like to well I guess cause heard in previous book. sometimes hard to tell who was talking.
I usually love her books and this one was also good. My complaint is the fact that most of the woman do not have self will. They act so help-less and seem to have no self control. Maybe it's just me but I would like a change where the women actually put up a challenge for the men. I found myself getting frustrated and irritated and the main characters. The books by this author is always good but I wish the carpathtian women would be a little stronger/challenging.
"Cruelty to children should be outlawed"
Even in a strong male, cruelty leaves a devesting effect . This beautiful person shows it can be overcome. Family can heal all wounds with love and support........😀
"The Dark series is excellent!"
Love the characters, the sense of community, the devotion and determination.
I don't really know...to me, each book stands on it's own.
Anyone who didn't make Desiree sound so ugly.
I've heard other books narrated by Sean Crisden and he does ok. Here's the thing...Desiree is supposed to have the voice of an angel, and he makes her sound like a nasally, hateful shrew. It really didn't work for me at all. I would pay for a re-do as this is a sad ding in my current collection!
The story line. New twist on an old theme.
Julian Savage, I liked his sense of humor.
Don't know how to answer this question.
Yes and I did.
In the books I have listened to with Sean Crisden in this series he mispronounces the name GregORi everytime. Instead of GregORI he pronounces it Gregory. GregORi is a Carpathian name and Mr. Crisden's constant mispronounciation drove me nuts. Other then that one flaw his narration was very good.
"Much Better Job from Narrator"
I did not like the narrator in the last book he did, but he did a great job in this one. so far this has been my favorite story of them all thus far! can't wait to read the next one though!
