Olivia Dare, executive director of the Miami Thunder, and team travel director Dylan Rhodes share more than just a passion for football. Their chemistry is explosive - their feelings for each other intense. Yet Olivia has ended things for reasons he still can't fathom and she won't explain. Unwilling to let something special go so easily, Dylan has been pursuing Olivia ever since. When the Pro-Bowl takes them to the tropical paradise of Hawaii, Dylan is determined to make sure their time together isn't all business. What happens in paradise is life altering but once Olivia admits her deepest secret and fear, will Dylan still want the forever he's been pushing for?

"Dare to Touch"
I love getting to see each of the Dare kids find love, but also fight through a past that's been tough for all of them in different ways. All of them the problem stems from their father and how his choices affected each ones lives differently. Olivia is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. She's the one to make sure full and half siblings all get along. But having issues with her fathers affair and now that he treats her like she doesn't matter is hard on her, too. An ex from college also makes her feel inadequate from that experience.
Dylan has loved Olivia from afar since the day he met her. Will he be able to breakdown her walls and see who she is and what she really wants in life or will he lose her forever?
from start to finish a absolutely wonderful book. I love the Deer family! I can't wait to begin the next book,
"too much of the same"
I have enjoyed the books in the series so far, but when reading / listening back to back they are like the same story recycled and repeated with name changes, and only slightly varied personal issues. Actually, the personal deficits aren't that varied either. They all have mommy/daddy issues they have to work through, because they haven't done so by their mid-late 20s and early 30s. All the men are alpha-demanding, while all the women scream the same thing in every sex scene "harder, faster".
I would love to see something a little more unique in each of the stories going forward, otherwise what's the point? I'm spending good money to read basically the same story with new names.
Aside from the similarities, the story was well written and enjoyable to listen to. The narrator does a great job, except that the men sound like "old men" to me for some reason. ;)
Overall a good read. My only suggestion would be in not reading the series books too close together to avoid the "too much of the same thing" vibe.
Also, WARNING if you haven't read the spin off series with the NY cousins first, this book will spoil some things.
