Publisher's Summary

Dagger is a Trivator warrior. He is known for his dark and dangerous edge, making him the perfect warrior for impossible missions. He fears nothing, until he meets a young, delicate human female who wakens his heart. Her gentle touch, soft voice, and her shy sense of humor touch him in a way he never thought could happen. The thought of anything harming something so beautiful and fragile fills him with terror.

Jordan Sampson is slowly adjusting to her new life on a strange planet far away from war-torn Earth. She had been 17 when she was brought to the Trivator's home world of Rathon along with her older sister, Jesse, and younger sister, Taylor, a couple years earlier. Fear, confusion, and uncertainty of what the future holds threaten to drown her as she tries to fit in. There is only one hope that keeps her going. It is the handsome alien male that stirs something deep inside her and makes her feel whole.

When Dagger is captured during a mission and sold to the illegal fight rings, it is only the memory of Jordan that keeps him going. Time blurs as he slowly sinks deeper and deeper into a world of violence and pain until he becomes more animal than Trivator.

Jordan knows Dagger is out there, somewhere. She can feel him in her heart. The heart she gave to him the first time he held her protectively in his arms.

When she discovers where he is being held, she refuses to let anything stop her from rescuing him. What Jordan doesn't realize is that she has been Dagger's hope during his captivity. The one thing that holds the thin thread to his sanity.

The fight to save Dagger takes Jordan on a journey that she hopes they both survive. The star system is a dangerous place for a young human female and a damaged Trivator warrior. Can Jordan reach Dagger in time, and if she does, can she heal his shattered soul?

5 stars ⭐️

Daggers Hope is the third instalment in The Alliance series by SE Smith. This one has to be my favourite so far. This is a reread, or relisten to be more precise, as I have the series in my Audible library. The narrator, David Brenin, does a fantastic job of bringing each and every character to life in these stories. As with the previous two books, this one is full of action, and an emotional roller coaster, as Jordan fights to find Dagger and bring him home. The underlying story continues through each book in the series.

most action yet

I loved this story. it was great to leave earth and venture into the galaxy. the best part is that our human heroine is kick ass smart and resilient. dagger was an emotional journey, and although I've heard more gutwrenching stories, the fate of our gorgeous alpha is a sad one.
I thought Ms Smith would have written daggers emotional turmoil and sanity a bit deeper and darker but she kept it on the lighter side so as to keep the tone of previous books, weave through this one as well.
I enjoyed the bit of 'French humour ' thrown in the mix. and although I haven't listened to the Lords of Kassis, I knew that it must be a series when a character appears in Dagger and Jordan's story along with a ship.
the plotline works hand in hand with the author's trope, and as much as the pace and angst were there to keep me listening. the HEA is always just as good

Thoroughly enjoyed listening.

AUDIBLE REVIEW Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this but it is funny how audible can rejump your memory of a book. I had forgotten how much we jumped back and forth in the timeline, rehashing the happenings from book one. A bit frustrating to those who have read and can remember what happened but good for new readers. Loved catching up with Jarmen, Luc, Jean Paul and those cute A.I. robots. But it really makes me want Jarmen’s story asap. BOOK REVIEW OMG. I loved this book, it had me reading till the end. We ended book two with Dagger believed dead and Saber badly injured. Two years have passed but Jordon has never believed Dagger was dead. Using her skills with computers she has found proof that Dagger is alive and being used in the fighting cages. When a rescue party sets out to get him Jordan tags along but really does end up being a major participant in his rescue. Jordan has matured well under the strain of Daggers supposed death and her search for him. They made a wonderful couple. I really enjoyed the journey they took to get back home to Rachon and how Jarmon and the nutty Frenchman from I believe the Lords of Kassis series were integrated.
