"Not sure why I'm giving it 2 stars"

This book is not good. No way, shape or form. I thought the description sounded great. The story line and idea had true potential. The reviews given were wonderful. I thought I was walking on pretty good ground. Ugh. It started off ok. And when I say that, i mean OK in the purest form. The characters, the narrator ( which cuts me deeply because I am a huge fan of Kirsten Potter as D. D. Warren) geez, the story.. was drawn out, boring, unbelievable and an all around frustrating..'OH COME ON!'... coming out more than once. I actually thought I had bought the abridged version because there was so much that didn't come together. No matter what review you read, don't fall for it, don't buy it, like I did, because of the narrator ( I'm still trying to pull the knife out of my chest on that one..oh Kirsten.. what did you do!) and definately don't buy it because you think the description sounds interesting. It's not. I'm trying to save you here. Money as well as & 7 hrs and 2 minutes ( those 2 minutes..ugh).

    "motherless twins"

to me, this was an interesting book about choices. it kept me listening.
my only negative: i'm pretty sure that the author is from Mississippi (as am I)...the incorrect pronunciation of Yazoo City and Natchez was like fingernails on a chalk board.

    Story
    "Prodigal Parable Times Two"

Clearly written as a biblical comparison to the prodigal son, this modern day parable, is a beautiful, yet at times an extreme example of the poor choices that people make . . . AND a steadfast example of the love of a parent for a child, mirroring God's love for us . . . one must listen with these things in mind . . . with the full knowledge that God NEVER fails . . . and that if we hold on to His promises, we will reap his blessings in due time . . . Amanda, and then Kara and Lizzie suffered innumerable losses . . . years of suffering, unfairness and neglect by the ones who should have loved them most . . . and blinded by that suffering, the twins gave in to despair, and believed the lies of the evil one . . . for a time . . . but, listener, hang on until the end . . . because our Lord always has the last word . . .

What was one of the most memorable moments of Covenant Child?

There were so many buy probably when the father died.

    Story
    "Covenant Child"

I listened to this book on a road trip and I was so entranced by the story and the reader that I missed two turn=offs on the highway. I was on the edge of my seat uring most of my trip and I found myself becoming emotionally involved with all of the characters, including wishing that the "Nasty characters" would get what they deserved. I highly recommend this book.
