This is my first book of your's Irene Hannon, and I absolutely loved it, and will certainly be listening to more. The narrator was lovely too and made you believe it was real! Also lovely to read books that don't compromise on the Word of God, I have no interest in secular books anymore and am thrilled that there are fantastic authors in the Christian novels. Thank you and God bless you!
As always I loved this story. I would have preferred a little less of the romance, the"hot" remarks were a little excessive. All of it was clean. The suspense was intriguing and entertaining. The killer's M.O. was unique and mysterious. The McGregor brothers are interesting and I'm looking forward to their continued adventures. I have a soft spot for military and law enforcement characters. Lisa is an amazing police chief. She and Mac made a formidable crime fighting team. Plus add a dog and the plot is complete. The narrator was superb and added another wonderful dimension to an already superb story. I'm getting ready to listen to Thin Ice, the next in the series.
"struggling to finish"
6 hours in and I'm so bored. So far the only thing remotely intestine is the bad guy. Both MCs are so bland and boring that listening to their portion of the story is excruciating.
"Enjoyed this book. "
I usually don't like books that you know who the killer is but I did like this one. It was very interesting with lots of twists and turns.
Not is the story totally awesome with great suspense, wonderful romance and a fantastic plot but the writing is fantastic with great character development. The narrators Therese Plummer and Jennifer Grace did a fantastic job and made the experience even better. A great experience.
I can't imagine anyone truly enjoying this book, but perhaps someone who enjoys flimsy romances would make it through. It was insipid. I thought I could endure it to the end, but when the author used the word "inferred" to mean "implied", I turned it off for good.
The narrator was unable to detract from the book, because the book was so terrible.
Regret that I had purchased it.
"Edge of your seat listening"
Buried Secrets rates in the top 3 of the books that I have listened to so far. It is the first book I have listened to by Irene Hannon.
Lisa was my favorite character because I liked how spunky she was in investigating the case as well as how she managed the handsome Mac MacGregor. She was good at keeping him off balance and he intelligently and carefully managed her too.
Again it was Lisa. I loved how they performed her when she was thinking to herself about the case and MacGregor.
Yes, when she went to Lisa's house to kill her and Mac couldn't reach her because Jessica was pushing her to exercise so that her blood sugar would bottom out. As she was losing her ability to keep going as her blood sugar plummeted it was tense wondering if Mac would get to her in time to save her. Then it was heart warming when he was with her as the paramedics were reviving her.
I love Irene Hannon's books. She is a new author to me and I am eager to listen to more of her books.
"Bored to tears"
One boring character after another is trying to string a none existing plot together.
Two thumbs down.
"Another great story!"
I always enjoy Irene Hannon's stories, and they're even better in audio. From a master of sleuthing comes a great tale of mystery, intrigue & romance. I look forward to hearing the next two in this series!
This is my first Irene Hannon novel, but definitely not my last! Great story and interesting characters, I had a hard time putting it down! Therese Plummer was a great choice and is my favorite narrator and always does a great job! Downloading the next book in this series now!!
