Jask Tao, lycan leader, rules his pack with absolute dedication and demands the same loyalty in return. When he captures Sophia, a rare serryn witch whose blood is lethal to vampires, Jask knows just how valuable she can be. Despite her fiery nature, he also can't shake the feelings that she rouses in him - feelings that he thought died along with Ellen, his mate. Sophia knows she has to escape from Jask's lycan compound - and fast. Inheriting her sister's serryn powers can only mean one thing - that her family is at risk. She'll have to get past the dangerously attractive Jask first but, scarred by memories of her mother's murder, Sophia won't ever give up.
Sparks fly between Jask and Sophia but, as both her family and the pack come under threat, they might just need each other if they, and their loved ones, are going to stay alive...

"Dark, sexy and thrilling." (The Demon Librarian)
I haven't felt this invested in a story ever! I've listened to Blood Shadows and Blood Roses, but by far thus is the best book in the series. The vulnerabilities of both Jask and Phia are so raw, so real. You truly empathise with them.
This is an incredibly emotional book and by far the most emotionally wrenching of all three of Lindsay. J. Pryor 's books. I am very much looking forward to Blood Deep.
I liked the first two books in the series, but this one was painful to get through. I found Phia insufferable, ill-tempered, childish and ignorant through most of the book. I had to listed to it on 2X just to get through it. Books 2 and 3 make me crave being an only child, for poor Layla has two self absorbed knuckleheads for sisters. This sister, Phia was just way overboard to me. I cannot understand why Jax liked her at all, as she was so rude and obnoxious for most of the story. I am still interested in the story, especially as its a series that goes on for several more books, but i don't know if i can take another story featuring Phia. I really wanted to reach through Audible and punch her in the face. Honestly, I think the author can do better now. 3 in a row of similar one, although different extremes of recklessness with each one. I hope the next one is more about what is going on in Blackthorn and less about all the fighting and ridiculous battle of the sexes. That was exhausting - Speed 2x!!!
"Can't get enough of the Blackford Series"
Another great book and fantastic narrator! Looking forward to the next installment in this series and more books from Lindsay J. Pryor.
"Can't wait for Book 4"
This is a good series for the Vamp Wolf fans
I really like how the creators from the other books in the series are ting into this book
Anne Flosnik got better as the novel progressed. It was hard for me to get through the 1st book but I wanted to get through the series..
I've really enjoyed this series. The ease with which the characters and stories flow and are connected makes for a very enjoyable listen! Can't wait for the next installment!
"Love the twist"
I'm enjoying this series and I'm looking forward to the next instalment it has a great twist on the normal vampire where wolf book. They are the underdogs. I love the slow burn of the books on how things are going to false them to take a stand if they can. But being set in there ways won't make it easy as they will have to somehow trust the other key players to do it. That is where the woman they have fallen for will come into play, they are all strong in there own ways but will be the the linchpins to weather they will win or loose.
"Best series ever, shame about the narrator!"
The evolution of the plot line and the final culmination of bringing all the central characters of the storyline into play
Flat, unemotive, boring
I've read many books of the paranormal genre, from young adult all the way through to full erotica, and this is one of the best series I have ever read. However, having waited impatiently for the books to be available as audiobooks, I was greatly disappointed with the chosen narrater who has taken such emotional and exciting stories and made the appear flat and dull. It hasn't dulled my enjoyment of the books, but I can understand why the fourth book hasn't been made available as an audiobook, as I'm not sure that, even being the fan I am, I would purchase another audiobook in this series. I've read many reviews where people have slated narrators where I, in turn, haven't though the narrator was as bad as portrayed, but on this occasion I feel the need to do the same. But mainly I just feel dissapointed that a series I love so much, not to mention the author Lyndsay Pryor, has been let down by such a poor choice of narrator.
