From #1 New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a trilogy about the land we’re drawn to, the family we learn to cherish, and the people we long to love…
Book Three of The Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy, Blood Magick
County Mayo is rich in the traditions of Ireland, legends that Branna O’Dwyer fully embraces in her life and in her work as the proprietor of The Dark Witch shop, which carries soaps, lotions, and candles for tourists, made with Branna’s special touch.
Branna’s strength and selflessness hold together a close circle of friends and family - along with their horses and hawks and her beloved hound. But there’s a single missing link in the chain of her life: love…
She had it once - for a moment - with Finbar Burke, but a shared future is forbidden by history and blood. Which is why Fin has spent his life traveling the world to fill the abyss left in him by Branna, focusing on work rather than passion.
Branna and Fin’s relationship offers them both comfort and torment. And though they succumb to the heat between them, there can be no promises for tomorrow. A storm of shadows threatens everything that their circle holds dear. It will be Fin’s power, loyalty, and heart that will make all the difference in an age-old battle between the bonds that hold their friends together and the evil that has haunted their families for centuries.
Don’t miss the first two books in the Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy, Dark Witch and Shadow Spell

The story was sting and an amazing end to the trilogy. I was captured with suspense and impatient to hear more. It was not predictable at any stage. Sadly it came to an end. I loved it. Very entertaining and truly captivating.
I couldn't stop listening to this series and particularly the last book
Just loved the characters and that glorious Irish accent sad it's finished but sure I will listen again
Was looking forward to the end of the series but unfortunately story seemed to loose momentum and the finish was a little anticlimactic - a bit disappointing but generally a good listen
"MUCH better narration than the first two."
Loved all three stories, but I suggest you read the first two for yourselves. The narration was spot on in this one. Drew me in and let me immerse myself in the tale, without being any kind of distraction.
.Much preferred Susan's performance over those of the previous two narrators in the series
In the previous audio books, Iona's character (to me) was only tolerable. Although a "bit" character in the Blood Magick, I actually liked Iona's character, not near as irritating as she she came across previously.
The cohesiveness within the circle of friends throughout their various struggles.
Only that I wish Susan Ericksen had been narrator for the entire trilogy!
"Want Katherine Kellgren"
The book and characters are very much in tune with Nora Roberts and just as exciting with a climatic and exciting finish. But I must say I enjoyed the 1st book the most because of the narrator. I wouldn't mind listening to it again if it was read by Katherine Kellgren. I'm not saying that Susan Ericksen didn't do a great job it's just that the voices better suited KK more cause she did the first book.
Liked the plot.
Brought the characters to light.
Love that transcends evil and time.
I enjoy all things Nora Roberts but I thought this entire series was very similar to her Sign of Seven trilogy. Susan Erickson was awesome as always though when I first hear her voice I always think Eve Dallas! Trilogy was just ok.
"THIRD TIMES THE CHARM!! (pun intended)"
YES!! Thank you for Susan Ericson. I enjoyed this greatly, the ending to the trilogy was very satisfying and again..SUSAN FREAKIN' ERICSON!!! Now---make my Christmas and please have her re-do the first 2 in the series and I'll have a perfect set. Much better!!
Its a good story. It felt a bit rushed, although the speed is quite slow. I'd recommend setting the speed at 1.25x. It was easier to listen to at a faster speed.
A better narrator. She made Brianna sound very overbearing...
Story was good, It followed with the other books well.
Maybe, not sure,
Just kind of blahhh, I had trouble really getting into the story, like I did with the first two books.
Don't know why but I did not enjoy this book as much as the first two, the narration seemed off somehow. ???
"Great finish to series"
Wrapped up all the loose ends. Great finish to the series. I really enjoyed it!
"Another Great Read"
I have seen some reviews where people wrote that they were disappointed with this series. I, myself, thpught it was one of the best reads from Nora Roberts. I have always enjoyed her books and have never found one that I didn't enjoy.
"Brilliant story, dreadful narration"
This is the third bok in the cousins o'dwyer trilogy and I really wanted to know how the story ended. The characters, setting and story are all fabulous. Believable and entertaining.
Branagh is my favourite - a strong, determined woman who keeps her family together around her
The Irish accent was terrible - this has been the case for every one of these books though and I carried on to book 3. If you find a wobbly, americanised Irish accent an issue - read the paper version!
Magic and romance, set in the Irish countryside - the Magic of the three!
Great trilogy, fantastic story, pity about narration
"Great trilogy ending"
I may listen to it in a few years but as my memory is good it is unlikely to be sooner than that.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy and I would compare it to other trilogies NR has written as it flows in a similar, comfortable way.
Having a book read to you means you actually get to listen properly to a story. There are times I skim read a book just to get to the denouement. I much prefer an audiobook for that and Dusan does a good job of reading at the right pace for the story.
Difficult to answer this without giving away plot lines so I'll just say there are several moving moments.
I would strongly recommend reading the other two books in this trilogy before this one.
Compelling, Thrilling Heart warming
Iona because she had the most to learn, and found her family in Ireland.
Brilliant as usual
mixed emotions, Loved the ending
Nora Roberts has a way a making the book come alive. I have listend to many of her books as well as her Dallas series, and non of them have been less that exciting, interesting and enjoyable.
"Magical mystery story with fun and to time travel"
I departure from her normal style I thought, but entertaining, heartwarming, thrilling in places, and touching. A story of good over evil of life over death and hope over despair. Well worth a read
I really enjoyed this trilogy, which is based in Cong Ireland. I could really visualise the narrative having visited Cong on several occasions. A true story of love, conquering the dark with the art of magic to intrigue the listener.
Thank you Nora Roberts for the escape which is the "Dark Witch"
I need more and will miss them now I have finished .
