"I enjoyed this book!"
This is an entertaining book! I like the story .. and the narrator is easy to listen too!
A wonderfully narrated and surprising story. At times toward the middle of the book, Seth's gift seemed a little distracting, but it came together. This was a great read, kept me with the headphones on.
I really enjoyed this book. The plot moved quickly, the characters were appealing, and the plot was well thought out. I probably wouldn't have even bought this book if it wasn't on sale recently, but for entertainment value, it was well worth the money and my time.
I enjoyed the ride of this fast paced thriller. The plot was not predictable... nice twists and turns. Good ending.
"Blink of an Eye"
Outstanding...I just could not stop listening...great characters and a very fast paced story...made me want to read more of this author.
"Really far fetched, silly."
The idea a genious can see seconds into the future is fine, but it becomes tedious and predictable early on. There is no real mystery here.
Once I saw how the hero uses his gift of seeing seconds into the future, I expected glitches to occurr. It just seems lazy, like writing a chase scene for 300 pages where the hero has unlimited funds, intelligence and physical abilities.
Sure, if it was a real mystery or suspense novel.
Frustration and dissappointment.
"The free will of man and the sovereignty of God"
This is been a battle for most religions for ages. the author has some fun with this argument giving his own spin on what could be the answer in this interesting work of fiction.
the idea he develops can i think be thought to be derived from C.S. Lewis and his idea given in his book Mere Christianity.
Blink of an Eye deals with weighty issues in a user-friendly format - issues of how faith works, how the sovereignty of God interacts with the free-will on mankind. All this in a fast paced thriller that spans two continents and many cultural intersections.
I had enjoyed the book previously, but was unsure I really wanted the audible copy after hearing the sample. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance which was was commendable. The versatility of the voices, tones and accents made it easy to imagine as the story progressed.
I really liked this book, first one by this author and I'm getting ready to buy my next one by him. The narrator did a great job too!
I loved the story line and was completely enthralled in the book. Now that it's over, I miss the characters.
