Billy and Me is a gorgeously romantic debut novel about the redemptive power of love by actress, journalist and blogger Giovanna Fletcher.
Sophie May has a secret.
One that she's successfully kept for years. It's meant that she's had to give up her dreams of going to university and travelling the world to stay in her little village, living with her mum and working in the local teashop.
But then she meets the gorgeous Billy - an actor with ambitions to make it to the top. And when they fall in love, Sophie is whisked away from the comfort of her life into Billy's glamorous - but ruthless - world.
Their relationship throws Sophie right into the spotlight after years of shying away from attention. Can she handle the constant scrutiny that comes with being with Billy? And most of all, is she ready for her secret heartbreak to be discovered and shared with the nation?
Charming, heartwarming and utterly romantic, Billy and Me will completely capture your heart.

"A gorgeous, gloriously romantic read with buckets of charm - I absolutely loved it!" (Jill Mansell)
"A sweet and sparkling debut from a lovely lady. Sure to be a hit." (Carole Matthews)
"Only the most hard-hearted could fail to root for Sophie as she falls for A-lister Billy and must take on the mad, bad world of showbiz. This sweet debut reminded me of Last Night at Chateau Marmont" (Louise Candlish)
at the beginning i struggled.. but further and further into this heart throb of a story, i became encaptured in Sophies Character. So relatable with her anxiety flares and her jealousy dramas.
I miss Molly already.
"Great book can't wait for the next one."
Easy to listen to and follow the story. Would make a great film x x
"wonderful romance and fantastic escapism"

"High Gold Stars Gi"
I adore the character of Sophie May, her warm heart gave me so much joy. I've found myself growing very attached to her. Please tell me more Gi.
Umm, glad I didn't pay full price for this as it was a daily deal. The story whilst implausible is ok and let's face it this is meant to be a bit of fluffy romance. However, as the story progresses the central character becomes less likeable, self centred and at times not just annoying but nauseating. Ok so she had a tough event happen in child hood but really?
I would definitely listen to Billy and me again because it was such a fantastic story.
I loved the moments between Molly and Sophie, it was so sad when she visited the hospice but it was beautifully written.
I enjoyed the scene describing the dresses.
I would have listened to it all at once but preferred to stop and start.
Such a fantastic story, beautifully written and really thought provoking.
"All a bit twee"
Not one I'd recommend! It was ok but I found the characters were not very convincing and in the end I didn’t like them, I thought Sophie May was a control freak and Billy was a complete wimp. If she felt her father’s death was her fault because she’d behaved like a petulant child, why would she constantly behave that way with Billy. Even though he’d done nothing to deserve it, she had no trust in him at all, it became annoying.
Also, it was stretching the imagination to think Billy would accept her petulant behaviour. The scene towards the end, when Billy, considering he’s a young aspiring actor who had been given a peach roll AND he’d carefully prepared her for what she’d see, the outcome was not believable, I wanted him to dump her and find himself a grownup.
Not at all, I enjoy a good romance but I like the characters to be convincing.
Yes, she did a good job with what she had,
Not particularly, although I have listenend to worse.
I thought this would be a bit too girly for me but I so fell in love with this book almost instantly! I cannot wait to listen to the follow up book!
"fairly standard chick lit"
It's just ok really. Quite predictable and very forgettable. Well read and easy to listen to but the big secret was a let down.
"An uplifting tear-jerking dedication to love"
I couldn't get enough, and have Always with Love ready to start immediately! ♡
