Publisher's Summary

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Assassin's Creed: Underworld by Oliver Bowden.

A disgraced Assassin. A deep-cover agent. A quest for redemption. Eighteen Sixty-Two, and with London in the grip of the Industrial Revolution, the world's first underground railway is under construction.

When a body is discovered at the dig, it sparks the beginning of the latest deadly chapter in the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and Templars. Deep undercover is an Assassin with dark secrets and a mission to defeat the Templar stranglehold on the nation's capital. Soon the Brotherhood will know him as Henry Green, mentor to Jacob and Evie Frye. For now, he is simply The Ghost.

    Story
    "The first parts are great"
Would you listen to Assassin's Creed: Underworld again? Why?

Probably not as the story is done and dusted and there's no realy treasures to find as the story is quite simple.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The last part of the book is a very curtailed version of the new AC Syndicate game so the novel is a prequel as well as a direct story telling of the game's narrative. It's a strange decision because you have the backgroudn to the story then it ruins the game's narrative. Do not listen until you have completed the game, but doing so you will not understand entirely who all the characters are.

What about Gunnar Cauthery’s performance did you like?

Very good, lots of different voices, lots of inflection, keeps it moving nicely

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Henry Green aka The Ghost is a emotional character given his journey, but the whole book is not very complicated.

    Any additional comments?

functional and adequete story elevated by a very strong narrator

    Story
    "Good, but..."

This book details the events prior and during Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and explores the life of Ethan Frye. So like the majority of the books in this series it isn't just an account of the events in the games and expands the AC universe. But AC: Unity is still missing from the series, so events, locations and characters like Jennifer Scott and Arno Dorian, (both of which are mentioned in this book), have no reference if you only listen to the series on Audible.

    Story
    "Enthralling and Amazing"

As most of us expect, this isn't a story of the Frye twins. It's the story behind the entire syndicate. A story that makes you understand every reason behind the story shown in the game Assassins Creed Syndicate. I enjoyed this book more than the game itself.
