Wonderful story of courage...

Set during the war with The English and Bonaparte this lovely story is about the enduring love between a loyal officer and his wife. It was also a horrific spotlight on the atrocities of war. I loved this book and will be looking for more. Praise to the author and the narrator. Thank you for making this book great.

Didn't finish this one

The narration was hard to listen to. She seems to read in a melodic pattern, rather than with emphasis and accents where needed in sentences. great to fall asleep too, but makes it hard to really get into the story. I couldn't finish the second chapter.
