Publisher's Summary

Imogene is young, beautiful, kisses like a movie star, and knows everything about every film ever made. She's also dead, the legendary ghost of the Rosebud Theater. Arthur Roth is a lonely kid with a head full of big ideas and a gift for getting his ass kicked. It's hard to make friends when you're the only inflatable boy in town. Francis is unhappy, picked on; he doesn't have a life, a hope, a chance. Francis was human once, but that's behind him now.

Meet these, and half a dozen more, in the first part of one of the most praised collections this century. 20th Century Ghosts is irresistible, addictive fun, showcasing a dazzling new talent.

Stories: "Introduction", "Best New Horror", "20th Century Ghost", "Pop Art", "You Will Hear the Locust Sing", "Abraham's Boy", "Better Than Home".

"Good stories ruined by bad reading,."
Would you listen to 20th Century Ghosts, Volume 1 again? Why?

    No.

What didn’t you like about David Ledoux’s performance?

The reader is not reading a book. He is trying to dramatize it and doing a bad job at it. Overacting and badly delivered voices destroyed the book for me. That is a shame since I really liked the stories.

Pretty good some of the stories are a little bit weaker than in volume 2.

A good listen some very gruesome bits and some things to make you think

    "Only one ghost"

the rest of the stories were more horror. They ended rather abruptly, so I'm only giving it two stars, sorry.
