Publisher's Summary

A discharged Army Ranger, Ben considers his job as a BDSM club security guard to be an excellent hobby. He's never been tempted to join in. But everything changes when the notorious Mistress Anne inadvertently reveals the caring heart concealed beneath her Domme armor.

Now, he's set his sights on the beautiful Shadowlands Mistress. Maybe he'd considered himself vanilla, but she can put her stiletto on his chest any day, any time. He'll trust her delicate hands to hold his heart. And if she wants to whip his ass on the way to an outstanding climax, he's just fine with that too.

Sure, he knows she likes "pretty boy" slaves. And he's older. Craggy and rough. And six-five. Minor hindrances. The mission is a go.

    "So Worth The Wait"

Great narration & wonderful story. Although The Shadowlands tales are "stand alone", they are much better if they are read in order. This one more than most as it updates the lives of 2 other couples from earlier books. When Cherise said Ben the "vanilla" guard at Shadowlands and the sadist, Mistress Anne, "told her" they belonged together we couldn't imagine how. She's created an a awesome tale of exciting erotic romance and suspense that brings these two disparate characters together. I loved every listening to every minute.

"Better then I thought it would be."

I was worried since I always read/listen to books where the Hero is the master and I really worried if this would do it for me. Well it did and it was great. Now I have to wait patiently for the next one to come out on audio. -Dink.

"I Love The Shadowlands Series, BUT..."

...this title, "Servicing the Target," features a female Domme and male submissive/slave, which is just not for me. The writing and narration is, like all other books in this series, nothing short of wonderful; however, I can't seem to enjoy the F/m dynamic . I look forward to Audible's recording and release of the remaining books in this series.

    "Found this a little lacking"

I'm glad Mistress Ann got her story. I'm also glad that we got to know Ben. The overall plot was ok but, it didn't reach my emotions like the previous novels, in the series. The relationship followed the usual pattern; Introduction, one way facination, Shadowlands' form of courting, Misunderstanding, angst then the HEA. It's an okay addition to the Shadowlands series but, it is far from horrible. It was worth a credit, to me, anyway.

Where does Servicing the Target rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a good listen, but I wouldn't say it was my favourite of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked getting more information on characters from previous books.

Which character – as performed by Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard – was your favorite?

I love Noah Michael Levine's narration of Ben's character. He has a great voice for this series.

    "Excellent!!!"

Love Noah and Erin, they work so well together!
The extra quotes at the beginning of each chapter that are not in the book are a wonderful surprise.
Cherise's writing is awesome as usual!
My only complaint is that the chapter numbers stated in the audiobook do not match the the chapter numbers in the book.
On the hole this audiobook and book is well worth your time!

"I enjoyed this book even though I'm not into F/m"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in power exchange and how 2 people work through the difficulties of their relationship when one is a bedroom sub only and the other person is in a transitional phase.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ben Haugen the former Army Ranger was my favorite character. He starts out believing he is totally vanilla but then after experimentation and meeting the right woman (Mistress Anne) he finds a more diverse psych lurking inside his head.

What does Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These two narrators are absolute MASTERS at their craft. Having listened to them for so any of Cherise Sinclair's books, hearing their voices feels like coming home. They outrageous talent for narration makes every audio book and must listen.THANK YOU NARRATORS FOR THIS SUPERB PERFORMANCE!!! A++

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This whole story from beginning to end is a delight; I appreciate that the angst/separation portions of the tale are kept to a minimum.

    Any additional comments?

Thank you for getting the book released on AUDIBLE.COM... my favorite venue.

"woo hoo. another winning story and performance"

As usual Cherise Sinclair has gifted her readers with a wonderful couple with serious heat and an original story that ends with their HEA.

The 2 narrators did a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life.

    "Wow!!"

I have loved Anne and Bens characters from the very beginning..... that first peek at Ben when Jessica sought shelter during a storm. If you don't understand then start at the beginning. You will not be disappointed, especially if you like bdsm, men who are men and women who are strong yet still feminine. It's a great series. I love that Ben found his girl, one who makes it right for him to let go without making him feel less than he is, a man who likes his lady to take control. Another cracker. Thank you.

    "Narration disappointing"

Having a female who's only contribution is to moan on queue and speak the odd sentence didn't work for me. If there are two narrators they should choose their roles or chapters and stick to them.

Brilliant story brought to vivid life by the narrators. A nice change to have a male submissive and as usual Cherise makes you care about these people on their relationship journey. Please keep writing and recording!
