When TV commercial production coordinator Meg Curtis gets stood up by her longtime boyfriend, she vents her frustration by feverishly writing in a diary.
At a time when she is unsure about all things romantic, she encounters fifth grade teacher Regina Baker at yoga class, a free-spirited single mom who is beautiful, playful, and impossibly intriguing. What starts as friendship, turns sharply toward something more as they learn they each share a love for very dark and unconventional sensual expression. Shocked, yet thrilled by the intense level of Regina's erotic desire, Meg explores her own deep-seated desires that have been locked away in the shadows her whole life.
Erotic, amusing, and profoundly romantic, Owning Regina is a tale that will awaken you, possess you, and transport you to a reality that steams with passion and vulnerability. This book is intended for mature audiences.

"I would recommend this book to anyone who wants more than a cheap thrill out of their reading, to anyone who enjoys seeing positive, realistic, and consensual depictions of kink in writing, and to anyone who wants to understand what kink is - what kink really is." (Lily Zheng, The Stanford Daily)
"All in all, Owning Regina is a strikingly sexy book that I recommend to anyone curious about BDSM. Owning Regina can easily be devoured in one sitting - as the days in Meg's life go on, there is an urgency for more and Elstrom does not hold back with her delivery. Having taken my first bite into a BDSM fiction featuring two female lovers has opened my mind to endless possibilities outside the lines of a vanilla romance. Aside from the swift declaration of love in a short passage of time (I often find these storylines unrealistic and stereotypical), I found Owning Regina to be a very fun read!" "BDSM and Clothes"
This is a well written book that goes into far too much detail on the details of bondage, clothing, and the experiencing of pain. I would have welcomed more words concerning their feelings and the arc of their overall relationship than 3-5 minutes spent on the pain experienced during one whipping than was given to the "bottom's son." If you can take or even enjoy highly nuanced descriptions of bondage and pain then you may like this audio; if not, then it's not for you.
"Not my kind of love story... But Great narrator!"
i dont really make comments. .. but so much work put in to it, i had to say something... too much punishments to achieve sexual pleasure, maybe for some people this is great but for me this was very sad, painful and desapointed, there was a moment i even think about stop listening but my hope that the story will change and they would realise that to love each other they dont need to be bad was bigger lol... so i kept listening but there was no turn or twist in the story until it reach the end! however i love the narrator and the effect works done the book, it made me feel as im really in the book.. great job!
Great book I enjoyed it. narrated well. And music was a nice touch. this was over all entertaining.
Loved the music and sound effects in the book and the story was not what I expected.
"WOW - LOVED IT!"
50 Shades look out, a different version is out. Well done Lorelei. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
I was unable to stop listening, caught me and kept me.
50, but more personal, more realistic, a deep and sincere romantic connection, kink is the new black, ha, but wanted it to go on and on, it sucked me in....
great choice =) for Meg and so was the performance of 'Regina' made me fall into being a fly on the wall as though I was there, loved it, well done
I almost finished it in a day, I couldn't stop listening, traveling, through happy hour, through dinner, until bed...kept my attention. Again, loved it, loved it, loved it!
can't wait to see what Lorelei comes up with next...dying here waiting!
great listen, thank YOU for sharing.....well done! XO, Scotty
"Loved it! Absolutely exquisite!"
Both the story and the readers were excellent. This book got me through some very long, boring work days! More! More!
"Dear Diary, This book is Sexy HOT!"
Hell Yes! I don't think you can get overly stimulate by reading it.
Can't compare this to self Dear Diary entries or BDSM books. Elstrom brings out introduction and understanding to BDSM and lesbians love and funny way. This book is from Meg POV. Her struggles about kink and sexual orientation.
No. I have not listen to Keanon's performances. She did a wonderful job. I like how she did different voices for Meg and Regina. I like the different type of music styles between each stores. The sound effects help bring the book alive!
Yes I would. Unfortunately real life of phone calls and work got in the way of continuing at best parts!
While I don't have any personal fetishes. I love Meg description of her boots fetish!
This book felt so real time to life of Meg and Regina relations building up.
This is an awesome book!!! Beautifully written!!! I love how the author wrote using first person when speaking to her diary!
I would totally recommend this book to my friends, I already did to be honest. I love how this book talks about BDSM and the way BDSM and Kink is explained during the story, also thumbs up for talking about "safe, sane and consensual" even tough it is never mentioned you can find the principles back in the story! If my friends have questions about BDSM or Kink I would let them read/listen to this book.
First time I've listen to this book I've finished it in a day.
"Mean Girls in boots"
This story was written as if being read from a diary, so it was hard to connect with as an ongoing story. The sexy scenes were jarring because in almost all of them, someone was crying in a panic. There was a memory shared where the narrator shoved her own feces in a girl's mouth, which completely killed the sensuality for the rest of the book. Plastic bags were used to suffocate the sub. The dom whipped the sub bloody raw. Sex could only happen in the context of a violent game and never in the real world relationship, which was convoluted by "the game" to begin with. There was a SUPER preachy scenario where the narrator commented that her family was very judgemental of her gay relationship because of their religious beliefs and her not choosing to be like them, but states that they must have a horribly boring relationship because they chose not to be like her. it was very hypocritical and awkward. This whole book was awkward. It was hard to tell if the sex scenes were forced into the story of daily life, or the story of daily life was forced in between sex scenes. It switched frequently from sixteen year old cheerleader "Oh my GAWD diary!" to mistress bitch in gear-grinding ways. And then it just abruptly ends. This story leaves much to be desired.
"Fairly good read, but not a guide at all."
The main thing I'd change is the unsafe nature of the play. Though I got the impression this is a true story maybe with just the names changed. If so they are playing horribly unsafely. In particular the bondage play. They practice fairly severe bondage, including gags and then she leaves Regina alone. Might be a subs fantasy, but is incredibly dangerous. And for that reason I hate seeing it in books that people might read and thing this is an okay for of bondage play.
Yes, because the romance is quite a novel one, and some of the scenes are fairly hot. No, because of the bad aspects of play in the book, and the fact that there is a very large dull part from about half way till the three quarters mark.
Possibly, but don't recall if I have. But a good narrator I thought regardless.
I listened to it all and enjoyed it too in general. Not the best, but far from the worst. Average read for me, but others may like it a lot.
I really enjoyed some of the switch play, and you may find that Regina is actually the tougher top - I did.
I didn't like one of the scenes at all, which was the first time Regina whipped Meg. You should never whip for revenge or in anger. The scene was abuse, clear and simple, and BDSM gets enough of that thrown at it without writing scenes that show it happening.
The book does read like two novices learning together, which is fine, but because of that it is always a worry to me that readers might try these things thinking it's normal. No real talk about likes for a long period. No way to safe-word when gagged, and other issue too. So treat it as fiction please if you read it - not a how to guide.
