Publisher's Summary

Annie Prince has impetuously flown halfway 'round the world to visit a sexy cowboy she met online - only to find herself stranded in Sydney. Seems she and Dylan crossed wires, and he's on his way to New York. His twin, Hunter, saves the day and whisks her back to the family cattle station. Hunter's as easy on the eyes as Dylan, and even easier to talk to. Annie might have flown to Oz to meet one brother, but soon sparks are flying with the other. Hunter considered Dylan a dumb arse for jetting off to America for some stranger - until he met Annie. Turns out the New Yorker is a smart, funny, hard-working jillaroo… and hotter than the Aussie desert. Hunter's not normally one to poach his brother's women, but he can't keep his hands, lips, tongue and other body parts off this sexy city girl. When raging lust leads to emotional attachment, where does that leave Annie and Hunter when her vacation comes to an end - or when Dylan finds out?

I just didn't like it... It had everything I require in a romance..but just eh! I was bored... so.. maybe a credit on a rainy day...

I didn't care for the narration all that much either... It was just like reading, not really narrating...

    Story... 4.50 star

I love the whole premise of this series. Annie and Dylan hooked up online. She's from NYC and he's from Australia. They've been chatting online for several months and one night Dylan finally breaks down and suggests a meeting. The problem...they get their wires crossed. Annie thought he was suggesting she come to Australia when in actuality, he was planning to visit NYC. They cross mid-air which leaves Annie in Australia with Dylan's identical twin brother, Hunter, to take care of her. She can't just go home since she convinced her boss to let her take the time off so she could write a newspaper series about life on an Outback ranch...or station, as they call them. She's stuck, but quickly discovers that's not necessarily a bad thing as she and Hunter have serious chemistry.

The issue for both her and Hunter...she was supposed to be coming there to meet up with his brother and although they never spoke about a romantic relationship, there were certain expectations there.

This was a fun book and absolutely perfect on audio...it only runs around 4-5 hours so it was perfect for me to listen to in a day as I did a huge clean-out of my office. I'm pretty sure the narrator is Australian although she does a really good American accent too, but honestly, I could listen to that Aussie accent all day. The book was way smexy, but it was fun too. It was great to learn more about Aussie life and life at the station. I live in West Texas ranch country so it was fun to hear the differences. Overall, I loved the entire experience and immediately upon finishing it, I got on audible and bought MISPLACED COWBOY so I could find out what exactly happened to Dylan in America.

Great book and if you like an Aussie accent (and honestly, who doesn't) you really should try it on audio!

UPDATE: I did buy MISPLACED COWBOY and returned it so I'm not able to do a review for it. While this book is GREAT, MC is missing the final chapter of the book. DO NOT buy that one from Audible.

"Spunky, fun, never a dull moment"
Would you listen to Misplaced Princess again? Why?

Absolutely, this will be added to my "go back to" list because of the burst out loud laughing, honest and absolutely delightful story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Anne, she knew what she wanted and made herself clear from the beginning.

What about India Plum’s performance did you like?

Love, Love, Love her! Great accents (both New York and Australian). The edge in her voice is sexy and fun plus she was enjoying the story just as much as I was!

Who was the most memorable character of Misplaced Princess and why?

Helen, she made me laugh out loud and the love for her sons was heartwarming.

    Any additional comments?

Though the story was shorter than I'd have liked (who wants a good story to end?) this is one the best I've read in a long time! I'm an avid reader and that is really saying something.

The first person narration of the female character is done with an Australian accent but she is from New York - major issue

I listened to this audiobook and was blown-away! India Plum narrated this book and she was wonderful! This takes place in Australia and her accent was phenomenal!!Annie Prince, spur the moment, jumps on a plane from New York to Sydney. She's meeting Dylan Sullivan, whom she met at an online dating site. Once there, she finds she and Dylan got their wires crossed. She's stranded in Australia and Dylan is in New York! Dylan's twin brother, Hunter, still at the airport, saves the day, and takes Annie back to the family's cattle station.Once there, Annie finds that Hunter is just as gorgeous as Dylan. She came to Oz to meet one brother but her chemistry with Hunter is off the charts! She's in a quandary about what to do!Hunter thought his brother was stupid to travel half way around the world to meet a woman. That is until he meets Annie. She is everything he never thought he wanted in a woman. Hunter tries to be true to his brother-he really does, but he just can't keep his hands off Annie. And she doesn't want him to!Gosh this was such a treat! I loved everything about this audiobook! I was intrigued with the blurb and once the story got going, I was sucked in! I really liked both Annie and Hunter! Both had an easiness about them, and they just "got" each other. I knew what was coming and I was getting anxious towards the time that Dylan was supposed to return. I hoped it would be good in the end and it was! I have read other books by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper, but this was the first audiobook of their's I've listened to. Their choice of narrator is what made this story authentic. I am hooked and now want to listen to the other books in this Foreign Affairs series!4.5 stars/3.5 flames

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Excellent performance, entertaining story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Misplaced Princess?

    Hunter thinks she has a bad dream . . . . .

Have you listened to any of India Plum’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

It was my first but I love her so much, I bought everything else she's done.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh, smile, not want to get out of the car after an hour's commute.

    Any additional comments?

    If only these were longer!!!
