I am officially stuck on this series. It's just so much fun. The characters are real, have depth, inner struggles, and shortcomings. But, they are all so likeable. And, the laugh out load scenes are just so...real and funny. I love the writing. This series was recommended to me a while ago, and it just didn't look like something I'd like. So, I put it off. Then, someone recommended I start with book 4 and I loved it. I went back in again for book 1 and loved it just as much. I had to force myself to stop listening in order to actually get things done.
I love all the characters, but I have to note that I love strong female characters. They may hurt, be vulnerable, even cry. But, they aren't weak. And, I really liked Carly. Jase was pretty awesome too. And, his brothers are outrageous. Very much my husband and all of his brothers.
I admit, I was really skeptical of the narration when I started. The female narrator has this nasally sound in her voice, it's not really her tone or her voice, but in her voice at times. And she makes many of the females sound annoying. BUT, after just a few minutes, I wasn't noticing it. Her performance was so on point. The depth of emotional ups and downs and delivery was really good. Only when she would do some of the female characters, I would notice a little because she would give them this sing song, high pitched, nasally voice. But, I say that to say, I've stopped listening to a book for far less. Her natural tone, inflection, and performance actually had me enjoying it a lot. And, her male characters were done very well.
I was confused about the inclusion of the male narrator. While what he did do was really good. I'm not sure that he narrated even 30 minutes of this almost 9 hour book. Hours went by before he even showed up, and then it was for just a few lines or so. I thought at first it was an error that it said 2 narrators. He did a really great job, and I would have liked to hear more of him. Over all just a super fun listen, well worth the time.
"Head over Heels ~ IN LOVE ~"
Everything in my world 'stopped', until I could complete this story!! Sooo true to real world. No fantasy love story here. But, real life & how love will always preserve!!!
Highly recommended! A+++
respectful- Kind - Loveable
i don't compare
this is the first & I adore their voices
I have read the kindle book - I had the same reaction laughed in places.
I can't wait to listen to the next book! I enjoyed the plot twist in this one.
Worth the credit!
This was a great love story that for me is very clean. Not a lot of actual sex scenes. A lot of sex talk and build up. But I really enjoyed it
"A little disappointed"
This audiobook had a fairly good story, though at times a little confusing, especially about the inheritance and new business. The biggest drawback of this audiobook was the narration. The female narrator has an annoying nasally voice that bothered me a lot. Also the male narrator wasn't in much of this audiobook. I guess I just expected more.
I did not like the way this book started. They were both cheaters. I hated the H. He was all over the place.

"My Two Pennies"
Jase is a sexy tattoo artist that has some enjoyable piercings and knows how to please a woman. When he meets Carly he starts with the little games of "fake dating" to spend time with her while she's visiting. Their friendship is an interesting one to say the least. More often then not I become so frustrated with Jase and his back and forth battles within himself and the things he says and does to Carly. As we get further into the story we learn more about both of them and Jase starts to grow on me and I start to adore him all over again. We're hit with a big surprise right along with Carly and totally thrown for a loop and again Jase flip flops with his actions. As annoyed I was with Jase I wanted to keep going to see what would happen next. I enjoyed this story and will continue to on with the Men of Steel Series. This is my unbiased and voluntary review
"Wasn't bad but not great."
Some parts of the book were worth some eye rolling. But a good simple book to listen to when killing time.
Have already read the book. Was so pleased when I found it was out on audible. This story is truly awesome
