Book 3 in the Nature of Desire series.
They call her the Ice Queen. At the exclusive BDSM club known as "The Zone," Mistress Marguerite is a legend. Tyler Winterman has been fascinated with her since he's known her, though the rules of their world say they shouldn't share more than mutual admiration. He is her male counterpart, one of the most powerful male doms practicing at The Zone.
Due to a computer error, Marguerite lacks the mentoring program stipulation required of all Zone doms, which includes spending a number of hours learning about BDSM from the submissive's perspective. Tyler considers it an act of fate that Marguerite chooses him to be the dom who helps her fulfill that requirement. He is convinced she is a "switch", a closet submissive, but the truth will be even more remarkable than the theory, changing their lives in ways neither of them anticipates.
Having no equal except one another in their skills at stripping a sub's defenses bare, these two dominants will turn their considerable talents on each other and discover that who is master and who is slave doesn't matter, not when two souls have found their mate.

"Joey W Hill and Maxine Mitchell=A Winning Combination"
Wow...just wow. I've been a fan of Joey W. Hill's books and this series is one of my favorites. Mistress Marguerite and Master Tyler are two of the most engaging characters. So much breadth and depth. Joey not only writes greats characters but also superb storylines. Maxine Mitchell is an outstanding narrator. She has strength and grace and she lends a lot of credibility to the series.
This is one of the best BDSM books I've ever listened to. It has so much of the emotional interaction between Dom and Sub. The importance of the attitudes of caring and protection for the Sub. Whether you are actually into this lifestyle or just on the fringes in your imagination in the books. This caring and protective attitude is stressed in all of the books I've read. It also delves into the emotional brokenness that might cause somebody to seek out this lifestyle. I think it stimulates introspection into a person's own life and the questions ask of the characters are also asked of the reader. "Everyone is seeking a connection with another." This quote is the longing of the human heart no matter the lifestyle. The human heart need connection.
Absolutely intriguing book! Spectacular performance. A bit wordy at times but so worth the read!
This story poses as an erotic account of a woman's submission to a man. What it is is a description of an arrogant, egocentric master manipulator playing around with a woman's psyche so that he can achieve his personal goal of "having" someone (because the goals in this process are interchangeable) that he is obsessed with. He does this under the pretense of helping her be a better top by understanding the experience of a submissive as per the "policies" if the very expensive private club for which she has paid a great deal of money to be a member.
Tyler's arrogance and duplicity become an annoyance that detracts from the story line, particularly when one knows the outcome as per the formula of the genre.
The narrator is great though. I'm just sorry that saying so gives the book an overall rating that is undeserved.
Buy this book if you are planning an erotic vacation at Guantanamo.
I had read the book and then decided to listen as the narration always brings out something different for me. This book is hot! Maxine Mitchell does a wonderful narration and brings the characters into hot, dripping, 3D!! Do yourself a favor and take a listen to this one.
"Did not like the narrator"
A different narrator.
She read way to slow for my taste.
I also read this one as an e-book, better then the audiobook but I will probably not read the next book.
"Love the Book! But the narrator drives me crazy :("
I have read all of Joey's books and they are all amazing. Her ability to create deeply emotional characters and pair them with intense BDSM scenes is beautiful and unique every time.
For me it is the whole last chapter, but I don't want to give any spoilers.
I like the other person who reads for Joey's Knight's of the boardroom series G. C. VonCloudts.
Joey W. Hill never. Maxine Mitchell sure she did a nice job with the poor material.
No personal growth in the leads failure to explain the inner scars the lead carried.
narrator did a very good job with weak material that depended on shock value.
The narrator had a strong voice despite rough material.
Don't wast your money
Good story, however because I've heard others by narrated by Maxing Mitchell it missed the spot for me; each time I listened I had to wait for the story to over power the voice detracting from the experience somewhat.
Nevertheless, I am intrigued for the second part of this story. I enjoyed that her past was not revealed so quickly it added to her character.
