Excellent story - highly recommend
A well written book, Jo Spain takes us into the sordid corrupt workings of the church, the power and absolute inhumanity of religion is exposed, a well written book. It is so good author's like Jo while in a fiction narrative are highlighting the loss and corruption that really did occur to so many women and children during this time. Inspector Tom Reynolds is a solid likable character i am looking forward to the next 2 books in the series. Love Aoife McMahon as a narrator.

A suprise ending
Really enjoyed this book. A who dunnit in the context of a truly terrible time in Irish Catholic history.
A very easy listen, could be picked up and put down easily. The performance was fantastic with different inflections used for different characters. If murder mystery is your thing, I thoroughly recommend.
