Only Harry Bosch can uncover LA's darkest secrets in this new gripping thriller from global best seller Michael Connelly. Read by Titus Welliver, star of Bosch.
'What do you want me to do?' Bosch asked again.
'I want you to find someone for me,' Vance said. 'Someone who might not have ever existed.'
Harry Bosch is working as a part-time detective in the town of San Fernando outside of Los Angeles when he gets the invitation to meet with the ageing aviation billionaire Whitney Vance. When he was 18, Vance had a relationship with a Mexican girl called Vibiana Duarte, but soon after becoming pregnant she disappeared.
Now, as he reaches the end of his life, Vance wants to know what happened to Vibiana and whether there is an heir to his vast fortune. And Bosch is the only person he trusts to undertake the assignment.
Harry's aware that with such sums of money involved, this could be a dangerous undertaking - not just for himself but for the person he's looking for - but as he begins to uncover Vibiana's tragic story and finds uncanny links to his own past, he knows he cannot rest until he finds the truth.

Great book as always. Now to wait another year,
Titus Welliver is a fantastic narrator, the voice suits the character so well and makes the audio version of the book thoroughly enjoyable.
He never disappoints with the unravelling mystery and interplay of characters. I just keep reading/listening.
The gravelly voice and laconic style of the reader was perfect.
"Love Harry Bosch"
Another great book by MC, never get tired of reading about Harry Bosch's escapades. On a par with Rebus.
Imagine the universe that Rebus and Bosch team up to solve a murder.
"Great read as always"
Love Harry Bosch and Michael Connelly's writing. I just wish he could write the next one faster! Great plot and as always so beautifully and insightfully written. Once you start the book you won't be able to put it down. Bring on the next instalment of Harry Bosch!
One of the best Harry Bosh novels in my opinion.
An elegant plot with intertwining stories, which keep you wondering till the last pages!
Loved the LA setting and narrative. Great reader too. Highly recommend this interesting mystery of current times
"Harry at his best"
It is a very good installment of Harry Bosh, doing what he does best being Harry Bosh. Good story line, intrigue and suspense.
"Great book and performance"
Michael Connelly delivers again: A great, engaging story with two different cases that will keep listeners on edge.
Titus Welliver delivers a great performance again, bringing the different characters to life. Fans of Bosch or just crime stories in general should give this a listen.
"Another great book from Michael Connelly"
Good narration, good story. Can't wait for the next Harry Bosch book. Having Titus narrating was a nice touch.
"Best Bosch narrator since Dick Hill"
Good narration is key to this series. Dick Hill was the master but this is the best since then.
"Continuing series with consistent quality"
A new Harry Bosch book is always a welcome bit of news to me and the trend of having Titus Welliver from the Amazon TV adaptation narrate the audio books only enhances that feeling of anticipation. This entry delivers on that promise and was a welcome addition to the series. Welliver's subtle McConaghey impression for the Mickey Haller character drew some smiles from me too.
"The wrong side is right again"
loved it another great Harry Bosch story. Michael Connelly always maintains the right pace within his story to keep you turning the page.
only get to listen in the mornings as I'm on my way to work. all of a sudden I couldn't wait to take that journey. great writing as always ☆☆☆☆☆
"Nice book and story"
My first try on the character and although it goes the retired cop cliché, it is well written and also well narrated. I felt sorry when it ended because I wanted to hear more. I guess I have to get another one to keep the Harry momentum going.
Always a great read - brilliantly performed, great characters and gripping story, Bosch keeps getting better.
"Wrong side of goodbye."
I have been looking forward to this book as I love this series. It did not disappoint. It was a fantastic story with unexpected twists.
I would highly recommend this book I have not had a version of a Harry Bosch in audio books before this one. Again I was not disappointed with the performance of Titus Welliver. He represented my idea of Bosch perfectly. More than happy all round.
As always a great story well written and read by a master. Just brilliant! But be warned it will ensure long periods of just listening.
