Only Harry Bosch can uncover LA's darkest secrets in this new gripping thriller from global best seller Michael Connelly. Read by Titus Welliver, star of Bosch.
'What do you want me to do?' Bosch asked again.
'I want you to find someone for me,' Vance said. 'Someone who might not have ever existed.'
Harry Bosch is working as a part-time detective in the town of San Fernando outside of Los Angeles when he gets the invitation to meet with the ageing aviation billionaire Whitney Vance. When he was 18, Vance had a relationship with a Mexican girl called Vibiana Duarte, but soon after becoming pregnant she disappeared.
Now, as he reaches the end of his life, Vance wants to know what happened to Vibiana and whether there is an heir to his vast fortune. And Bosch is the only person he trusts to undertake the assignment.
Harry's aware that with such sums of money involved, this could be a dangerous undertaking - not just for himself but for the person he's looking for - but as he begins to uncover Vibiana's tragic story and finds uncanny links to his own past, he knows he cannot rest until he finds the truth.

Great book as always. Now to wait another year,
Titus Welliver is a fantastic narrator, the voice suits the character so well and makes the audio version of the book thoroughly enjoyable.
He never disappoints with the unravelling mystery and interplay of characters. I just keep reading/listening.
The gravelly voice and laconic style of the reader was perfect.
I am a huge fan of Harry Bosch and Michael Connelly and this book does not disappoint. Couldn't stop listening. Great story and well read. Only problem now is the long wait for the next one.
One of the best Harry Bosh novels in my opinion.
An elegant plot with intertwining stories, which keep you wondering till the last pages!
Loved the LA setting and narrative. Great reader too. Highly recommend this interesting mystery of current times
"Harry at his best"
It is a very good installment of Harry Bosh, doing what he does best being Harry Bosh. Good story line, intrigue and suspense.
"Harry is getting older but he still breaking them"
This is a more nostalgic story, where Harry Bosch gets to reminisce about Vietnam those years, it also shows how hard it is to maintain his badge in a world that wants him retired.
Efficient two story setup with the company of a great detective, delivering all you have come to expect from great character, LA and its history are a good part of the atmosphere of this books and as usual they play a part in the story.
Keeping in touch with old friends is a good idea and this old friend always delivers a solid few hours of entertainment.
Another excellent Bosch story. Titus reading as Bosch brings the story to life, as he does on screen, cementing himself as the man on a mission
"Best Bosch so far"
Stop everything and listen to this book - story & narration are fantastic- I didn't think The Last Coyote could be bested, but this does it - worth waiting for
"Did Not Want it to End"
Best Harry Bosch ever! Best Harry narrator ever! This is a delight from start to finish, best credit so far this year. Enjoyed immensely, so will you.
"Michael Connelly's latest Harry Bosch is superb"
Have listened to all of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch novels and watched the TV series and this is crime fiction at its' best - we had to wait longer for this book in the UK but it was well worth the wait - found this book really stirred my emotions in places - there were so many facets to the book and I enjoyed them all - cannot wait for the next novel,
"Outstanding yet again"
Connelly and Welliver are a great combination on another engaging Harry Bosch story. This was a pleasure to listen to.
"Excellent! Harry Bosch is back!"
Not only is this an excellent story but it was brilliantly read by Titus Welliver who plays Harry Bosch in 'Bosch' the Amazon Prime TV series.
I didn't want this to end, highly recommended.
Michael Connelly at his best. I adore Harry Bosch as a character and this story did not disappointed and with the on screen Bosch now reading the story just makes it even better.
"Best Bosch narrator since Dick Hill"
Good narration is key to this series. Dick Hill was the master but this is the best since then.
"Bosch at his best"
This is Harry Bosch back at his best, if you are a fan or new to the world of Harry then you won't be disappointed
