Publisher's Summary

A strange house

A ghost from the past

As soon as she moves into Hillside, Gwenda knows there’s something strange about this house.

A sealed room. A hidden door. The apparition of a young woman being strangled.

But strangest of all – this all seems quite familiar.

As her friend Jane Marple investigates, the answer seems to lie in a crime committed nearly twenty years ago.

The killer may have gotten away with murder. But Miss Marple is never far behind.

Never underestimate Miss Marple

Amazing 😍

My first time with audiobook over a book and it was amazing. Thrill of switching theories of Murder with each perfectly narrated chapters by Stephanie Cole is same as closing a book and thinking ' who can it be' 🙂

good book, bad format

the chapters in this audible book are very long and do not match the spoken words (a few chapters spoken inside each audible chapter), which is bothersome! otherwise very enjoyable story

Great story dreadful ‘nz’ accent

I greatly enjoyed this book even though I thought the murderer was fairly easy to pick- however the ‘nz’ accent for Gwenda was awful- actually an Australian accent. You might only pick it if you are from nz or oz. Still a great read.

another great story from A Christie

The story was great S usual. The voice actor's kiwi accent was terrible but her usual reading voice very pleasant to listen to.

First class entertainment.

I really do like Stephanie Coles’ Marple. First rate story with first class narration which only the Dame’s work deserves.

Great story, well narrated

Miss Marple is her adorable self, always expecting the worst of everyone and always right.

The narrator laid the Kiwi accent on a little thick but the story was so gripping that eventually I didn’t even notice. It’s a clever murder mystery with enough foreshadowing and clues that you can work out who the murderer is before the big reveal, while not so obvious that it’s unsatisfying.

good story, bad kiwi accent

I love all Agatha Christie tales and the narration was fine except for the voice of the kiwi Gwenda - the accent was awful 😔
