Publisher's Summary

The end of the world is here...

Unlocking the secret of the Seven Ancient Wonders was only the beginning.

From the international best-selling author comes another blockbuster - simultaneously released with the print edition.

The world is in mortal danger. For Jack West Jr. and his loyal team of heroes, the challenge now is to set six legendary diamonds known as 'the Pillars' in place at six ancient sites around the world before the deadline for global destruction arrives. The locations of these sites, however, can only be revealed by the fabled Six Sacred Stones. Their quest will involve the death-defying hijack of a mountaintop railway in China... A midnight expedition to Stonehenge... A headlong chase across the deserts of Egypt... And a trek into the dark realm of an African tribe forgotten by time.

With only the riddles of ancient writers to guide them, and time rapidly running out, Jack and his team must fight their way past traps, labyrinths and a host of deadly enemies - knowing that this time they cannot, will not, must not fail. The mission is incredible. The consequence of failure is unimaginable. The ending is unthinkable.

Always good

This is the fourth time I have bought this book.
Two paper versions, a cd audio book and now on audible.
About the third time I have listened to it.
For pure a escape for 30 minutes on the drive to work, long hours driving a road train across WA or multitasking during the day Matthew Reilly is just awesome..

worst audiobook so far from audible

Tedious nonsense which I couldn't finish. The narrator tried hard but didn't have much to work with.

its ok

It is escapism and has a highly predictable storyline. It maintained my interest but I will forget it all pretty quickly, I'm sure. meh...

Voiceover

I love these books but just honestly not a fan of the guys voice and his not so great accents. Good on him for doing them all though.

I love pure excitement that comes with the stories.

I highly rate all of Matthew Reilly's book...I have been enraptured by every one I have read so far. I particularly loved the Scarecrow books, and now I have another hero in the Jack West Jnr books.

loved it

Seems as if Sean Mangan as narrator is a bone of contention - Don't be put off with the negative criticisms - Sean Mangan is the perfect narrator. Love the story, the adventure the characters and of course the narration...... Looking forward to the second innings......
