Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

The unusual portrayal of God being both Father and Mother
There were so many but when the Holy Spirit and Mac were in the garden and how the garden with all the beauty amongst the weeds was actually Mac's life! Also when Mac was in the cave judging God.
I did not care for his voice or his lack of emphasis in his voice. Wish it was narrated by Max Mc'Clean
Jesus! Papa! Sarayu! All are one so them as one
Touching, suspenseful, thought provoking. Two huge thumbs up and I will be seeking out more from this author. Great read.
"Healing all the guilt and shame..."
I lived 40+ years with Lutheran guilt that clouded my relation with God. Amazing how one fable can crack that mile thick layer of shame and guilt!!
"Wonderful insight into the relationship that God desires to have with us all!"
The author does a wonderful job of explaining the relationship that the Trinity has and the desire that God has for a relationship with us.
At times it was heart wrenching for both the hard parts as a parent and as a child of God. Love the unexpected manifestations of God.
The reader did an excellent job conveying the story.
"Even better the second time around"
Very high at the top. This was a great read/listen.
Hmmm... I loved them all actually each offered something different and needed.
Didn't make me laugh or cry but made me reflect and become more insightful along the way.
I read this book many years ago and it took me forever to get through because it was slow to start but so glad I decided to give it another go with audiobook. I was able to stick with it and I recommend this for anyone struggling to find an explanation of the Trinity and how you can trust again after pain.
I didn't know what to expect because I didn't even know the story line. I was looking for a book to listen to for a long drive. This one jumped out at me and yelled 'Read Me'! So, I did. What a wonderful book! You won't be disappointed. This is the first review I have written. Don't normally do. Been a listener for 2 yrs and never written one until now!
"Changed me to my core"
I can't even begin to put into words what this book has done for my heart, my mind, and my soul. This book brought me to God. This book opened my eyes and heart. This book helped me to finally break my chains and be a soul of God. This book ultimately saved me life.
A beautiful beautiful picture of how a relationship with God should be. I will carry the thoughts this book brought to my mind with me forever.
"thought provoking "
loved it. it is a much more logical way to think of a relationship with christ than the traditional ways taught in church. refreshing
