Jack Reacher takes an aimless stroll past a pawn shop in a small Midwestern town. In the window he sees a West Point class ring from 2005. It's tiny. It's a woman cadet's graduation present to herself. Why would she give it up? Reacher's a West Pointer, too, and he knows what she went through to get it.
Reacher tracks the ring back to its owner, step by step, down a criminal trail leading west. Like Big Foot come out of the forest, he arrives in the deserted wilds of Wyoming. All he wants is to find the woman. If she's OK, he'll walk away. If she's not...he'll stop at nothing.
He's still shaken by the recent horrors of Make Me, and now The Midnight Line sees him set on a raw and elemental quest for simple justice. Best advice: don't get in his way.

Like hanging out with an old friend
I couldn’t wait to get back to where I had left off at the end of each ride. I soak up books through audible as I soak up the glorious surrounds on every cycle commute.
For me, a Reacher book is the ultimate blend of intrigue, wit, passion and comfort. Ron is a master drawing you in to the point where you reckon you could recognize every character if you were ever to meet. Which is why Tom Cruise is just ‘not’ the right person to play this ‘iconic’ character. Honestly, the man barely scrapes 5”6, Reacher is nearly 7”, described as ‘Bigfoot’!
Keep them coming Lee, I’ll never tire of these stories.

Another solid outing for Jack Reacher
Couldn't put this one down again. Lee gives us another wonderful tale from the Jack Reacher universe. Another superb performance from Jeff.

Keeps you hooked, no pun intended!
Good story entertaining, classic Reacher. Keeps you glued to your earphones! Bad guy got off too easy, deserved more than a “bad turn”.

left me hanging
the end left me wondering, yes I can make something up, but not quite as satisfying .. did Scorpio survive his time in the dryer? Did Nobel claim all the glory or did he share with the local seargent at least? ...

Fantastic story line, listened to it in hit. Absolutely worth listening to, predictable at times but then it has that unexpected twist.....

I have read most of Lee Child the early ones are much better, their didn’t seem to much of a story still description was good I wouldn’t recommend to any one as a good read.

Poor narration
Good storyline as always from Lee Child, but the narrator was dreadful. He desperately needs to learn how to vary his tonal structure
