"My eyes were racing down the pages... had me guessing right up to the very end and I had tears in my eyes as I relived Charlie's last moments... exceptional... It's an addictive page-turner that begs time and again for just one more chapter until the whole book has been devoured and thoroughly enjoyed." (The Book Magnet)
"Wow! What an amazing debut novel! Full of intense twists! Fantastic book to start off summer reading! Highly recommend." (Loud and Proud Book Junkie )
Although a bit hard to follow at times, this book is highly original with lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing to the end. I don't want to give anything away so I will just say that what I liked about this story outweighed what I didnt, and I've never heard anything quite like it.
"The Heart is stronger then Life"
This novel was exceptionally written by Louise Jensen and wonderfully narrated by Jasmine Blackborow.
The Characters all fit their plots and the story line was different for a change. The Gift will surprise you and keep you on the edge of your chair, wondering if what you are reading is a dream or real life. I totally enjoyed this must read or listen to audiobook. The Writer made a complete magical mystery and thriller out of something that happens often in our world today. I don't want to ruin it ....so listen to it yourself, a for sure likeable audible edition.

"Cellular memory is fascinating!"
I always enjoy books about organ donation & how the receivers of those organs go on to progress with their lives and how the experience directly affects their lives. This story was unique in that it brought on the topic of cellular memory. How absolutely fascinating! I am now very inclined to do some research on the topic, just to learn more and see how many other stories similar to this one are out there.
It wasn't a particular "stand out" for me, but if I knew any of my friends were extremely interested in organ donation or cellular memory then I absolutely would recommend it.
Not particularly because it was quite long, but I did want to finish it quickly.
"WARNING AUDIO IS HORRIBLE! The story is overall pretty bad as well."
Who said the is the "best psychological thriller"? I can't believe they just wrote that on the book, plus it's in the introduction but with info on who said that.
Don't waste your money, the narrator reads this from her bathroom at points (or at least that's what it sounds like) other times you can barely make out what she's saying because the recording is SO BAD.
Don't bother with this book.
There were no big moments in my opinion. I was left wanting something to happen that I didn't expect.
Yes the narration was fine.
none - it needed something added not taken away
meh - I had hopes for a terrific read; I didn't find it here.
It was very disconcerting to have clips redone throughout TGIF recording. Either they skipped parts and had to add them in later or didn't like the way it sounds. Just a strange production not very professionally edited. The story was as if it was written to end one way but at the last minute they changed their mind. Not at all believable or developed properly
"Different, fresh and uniquely good!"
I actually haven't read the print but LOVED this audio version.
This storyline was sooo good!! If you're looking for a thriller that is different, fresh, and uniquely good then you need pick this one up! I was seriously impressed with Jensen's writing and just the general flow of her book. Jensen's book are perfect when I need to grab a book that I just know will be a fantastic book!!
I really thought she did good! This was my first book read by Jasmine and I thought she was very interesting. She had good inflection and tone. I didn't have any problem understanding her. She was an enjoyable reader.
No, not really. I thought it was great! I wasn't sure at first as the reviews have been iffy. I've noticed that the last year or so Bookouture has hit a homerun with their latest writers in the thrillers section! I haven't read a book (or listened to) that I haven't enjoyed!
I really enjoyed this audio book... I can't wait to see what's next!
"Pass this one by"
Can't think of any
One of the best parts of the story, the Medium, was only a few sentences. Then the drawn out and predictable story line. The 'twist' was predictable also. Sadly the set up for the twist was boring.
The narrator was great
Sadness. I didn't finish the book.
I am letting prospective listeners know to pass this one by.
It's narration is lovely and while the storyline is good, the cliches run rampant. I feel like I've wasted two days of my life.
"NOT MY FAVORITE book"
the story was way too slow to follow it. it took me almost till the end to really figure out what was going on, for me was really confusing to concentrate on the book. there were times where the narrator was reading way too low and couldn't make out what she was saying. besides that, the end was surprising but needed more drama and more suspense.
"A Wonderfully Crated 'Gift' To The Reader."
A mysterious tale of love and suspense, almost Bridget Jones meets Nancy Drew for adults and with a killer twist that will render you speechless. Thoroughly enjoyable story line that immerses the reader between its pages, leaving you guessing until the final, breathtaking and thrilling twisted ending.
An absolute must read.
The Audible version is narrated to perfection by Jasmine Blackborow.
"Such a good story"
I found that I had to keep going with this story even when I was meant to be doing other things. I found myself looking forward to getting back to it when the kids were in bed. Recommended to all
"Gift? No thanks"
Oh boy, 3 hrs to go and hoping for something to happen, lingering...., listening now x2 forward, i will update if needed. Good narrative
Please do not waste your time reading this. I do not usually bother with reviews but this was so shockingly bad I have to encourage you not to waste your hard earned cash and time. It's over hyped drivel. story line was juvenile and predictable all characters annoying. so many great books get bypassed for this?
A very well written book which keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved the storyline as well as the twists. ☺
A good read. Plenty of twists and turns. Good characters. Something different with the story line. Recommended read!
Really gripping and different, really loved it! Well performed and a great story with a twist different to the usual.
Worth a listen although not much of a twist that you don't see coming. Enjoyable
"Worth a read"
I found this book too long but overall a good storyline and very well performed.
"Didn't enjoy it"
Too far fetched, Thought Jenna was very annoying, why would you not go to the police is someone attacked you, or if someone broke into your flat!! What happened to Nathan after she'd drugged him, did her report her to the police and if not why not, what happened about the fact she stole the drugs, has no one still not noticed, many times I was going to give up on this book as it irritated me but I hate to give up on any book, I now regret that!!
