People are capable of almost anything.
Fast-paced and addictive, The Couple Next Door announces a major new talent in thriller writing.
You never know what's happening on the other side of the wall.
Your neighbour told you that she didn't want your six-month-old daughter at the dinner party. Nothing personal, she just couldn't stand her crying. Your husband said it would be fine. After all, you live only next door. You'll have the baby monitor, and you'll take it in turns to go back every half hour.
Your daughter was sleeping when you checked on her last. But now, as you race up the stairs in your deathly quiet house, your worst fears are realized. She's gone. You've never had to call the police before. But now they're in your home, and who knows what they'll find there. What would you be capable of when pushed past your limit?

"An excellent thriller with many twists and turns"
Riveting, believable, fast-paced
It has many unexpected twists. The plot attracted me but the actual story was even better than I anticipated. The story was very well told with plenty of detail but not so much that it was boring or monotonous.
Her voice brought the characters to life. They were all well developed and believable.
The incident in the school bathroom. Without giving anything away it was quite shocking.
Highly recommend this book. I enjoyed the whole story. The baby's mother's story was well thought out and had a lot of depth.
"Compelling page turner!!"
Story was full of twists and was utterly gripping!Heard it all over 24 hours as desperately wanted to know what happened! Highly recommended.
"Brilliant brilliant brilliant! All 5 stars"
Addictive, excellent story . At the start I thought this was a bit 'easy' but it only gets better ! Highly recommended book
"the voice ruins it"
seriously regret not playing the sample of this because the voice is very annoying and I can't get past the first 10 minutes! complete waste of my book this month :(
"Jaw droppingly good....."
I cannot tell you how many times my jaw has dropped open listening to this book.
So many twists and turns, leaving you completely speechless......
Compulsive listening, and narrated so well......
"Painful to listen to!"
the narrator was very annoying, the story very repetitive in places. would not recommend!
"hated the ending"
I liked it a few twists, hard to follow at times very predictable ending unfortunately
I enjoyed the book and thought the storyline very good. However I kept getting confused with the characters actual names as the narrator sometimes said "Marco" and sometimes "Margo" also "Razback" and "Razbag",I found this very offputting and it spoilt the overall listening experience for me.
"really gud but took a while getting there ."
good narrator slow story but ok after you got into the story line. quite thrilling story in the end but had to stay with it.
"Ideal to listen to"
I wanted something to listen to in the car. Loved the narrator's style. Loved the character development &, although the ploy was constantly unexpected, it was perfect to listen to in half an hour chunks. Loved it.
Really disappointed at this book, very obvious plot lines and a bad ending. Such a shame as it could have been good.
