Jonathan DeHaven, the shy head of the Rare Books Division at the Library of Congress, is planning nothing more than an uneventful day amongst his cherished collection.
But when Jonathan is found dead by Caleb Shaw, a member of the Camel Club, two conspiracies are destined to meet as the Club determines to track down the dead man's long-lost wife, and Annabelle decides to avenge the death of her beloved ex-husband.
Unfortunately, the victim of Annabelle's long con has sworn eternal revenge, and Jonathan's killers will stop at nothing to keep the truth about his death, and the code they have perfected over the years, from surfacing.

Loved the book, great entertainment, plot you can not but help to get involved, the only thing that makes me wonder wich is the next book as it could continue.
"Too much Scooby Doo!"
I remembered reading the first Camel Club book and decided as I was on holiday to get something smaller than the 40+ hour Space Operas and Haruki Murakami tomes I had been reading. I saw this and decided it would be fun. And it was, but it was very simplistic and had some ridiculously unlikely scenarios, the characters were like something out of the A-Team and the "reveal" near the end is where the Scooby Doo moment came (no pesky kids or janitors were involved...). I actually laughed. Also the "technique" the spies use to pass messages between each other is laughable - I'm not going to spoil it but you'll see what I mean!
I did keep going back to it as it was fun, but not taxing on the brain in any way. Maybe I'll re-read the first book and see if I missed all this when I was younger!
