Publisher's Summary

So what does a retired Black Ops Instructor do when the gunfire stops? Kyle Lassiter spent many years in the Marine Corps, most of them in the Black Ops program. But now he's on his own, and he's moved back to his hometown of East Pier, Maine. He set up shop in the business district, working as a private detective. Kyle takes on the case of one Buddy Bronco, a man running a trucking outfit under attack from a large conglomerate. Kyle is forced into a one-on-one showdown with one of his former students and the sparks fly. Bronco Trucking is thrown into chaos as Buddy's people start dying horribly. Kyle and his best friend, Detective Don Keller, must work together to get things back under control. But when Kyle's secretary is kidnapped, all bets are off, and Kyle goes all in to save her. He's no saint, and he'll prove it. But Kyle is the one person who will do anything to see justice is done. And sometimes justice is a dish best served angry.
