Publisher's Summary

Catherine Linton has returned to her hometown of Lowfield, Mississippi, unconvinced that the death of her parents in a car crash six months earlier was an accident. And her suspicions are confirmed when she stumbles upon the dead and beaten body of her doctor-father's longtime nurse. There are secrets being kept in Lowfield. And the town where Catherine grew up may be the same place where she is sent to her grave.

    "Naration detracted from the story"
What made the experience of listening to Sweet and Deadly the most enjoyable?

Another story a world away from the Sookie Stackhouse universe. Perhaps a little closer to the Aurora Teagarden character but Charlaine Harris once again demonstrates her versatility.

What did you like best about this story?

I hadn't a clue as to 'who-done-it' until the very end!

Did Suzy Jackson do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

Although the naration was clear and showed SOME marked differences in the characters, it came nowhere near to my expectations after having listened to so many performances by Johanna Parker. At times the delivery resembled a cross between someone reading out statements from a script and an audio-described TV voiceover!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No
