"Dane and Bones are back! Packed solid with action and witty dialogue, this rousing adventure takes a fresh look at one of the most enduring mysteries of the 20th century, David Wood delivers again with QUEST." (Sean Ellis, author of Into the Black and Dark Trinity Ascendant)
"The escapades of Wood's serial character Dane Maddock continue in high style with QUEST, an all-out blitzkrieg of a globe-trotting mystery-adventure that breaks from the action just long enough for a couple of laughs." (Rick Chesler, author of kiDNApped and Wired Kingdom)
"Let there be no confusion: David Wood is the next Clive Cussler. From the accessible writing to the wide-ranging plot to the main characters who don't give up no matter how long the odds, Wood's latest book, Quest, is a tremendous classic adventure. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop until the last mystery plays out in the final line." (Edward G. Talbot, author of 2010: The Fifth World)

Didn't read the priint version
The plot was extremely interesting.
All the characters were well done.

"A fast, fun adventure right up to the end"
I thought it was neat that Doyle's The Lost World was part of the clue pattern, but I enjoyed most how the story progressed, building upon clues and findings that led to the lost city and its secrets.
Dane Maddock--he (Kafer) has the attitude and tone right on target.
Very much worth the listen.
It'd be okay to pick this one up even if you've not listened to any of the previous novels in the series. Even though references are made to previous adventures, they're not vital to know and are easily followed/understood within the context of the current novel (Quest), so it stands alone well.
"Indiana Jones Type of Adventure"
This was a really good book with everything that we all loved from the Indiana Jones adventures. History, action, adventure, and mystery all rolled up into one book.
I read this without having read the first two Dane Maddock books, but I didn't feel lost at any point. There are a few references to the first two books, including the relationship between the two main characters, but the story was able to stand alone without needing the detailed descriptions of previous events.
Dane is called to assist an old friend when her significant other goes missing. Not only did he disappear under mysterious circumstances, but he left behind clues that may solve a centuries old mystery involving a lost city and a powerful artifact. However, powerful people will stop at nothing to solve this puzzle before they do...
The narration was solid, well-performed, and had the right tone and pace.
After listening to this book, I will almost certainly go back and listen to the first two AND continue with the rest of the series. Five stars all around!

The Dead Men
I like it when the whole group is more involved in the story. I enjoy listening to Maddock and Bones adventures. The narrator has done another good job in telling this story. I received this audobook for free from Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.
"Reliable adventure for all"
Dane and crew take us on a intriguing quest and I enjoyed the preface and the performance. Overall, recommended and hope new and inventive stories are coming.

Very good. Held my interest to the very end. Lot of great action and historical data mixed in with fun dialog.I enjoyed this story and would like to read the rest of the series. It was a great adventure, minimal amounts of romance and lots of action.
"A fun read"
This was a really fun story, I couldn't stop listening until it had finished. As is usual for the Dane Maddock Adventures it is full of action and mystery. Great characters and good writing. A definite recommendation. Kafer does such a good job of bringing the characters to life.
"Awesome Action Adventure"
This was awesome listening. I've never read any other books in this series and thankfully I didn't need to to fully enjoy this one. There was so much action and it was one of those stories that you don't want to stop. The antics of Maddock and BoneBreak made me think of the Movie Sahara, but this story had its own unique flare and wonderfulness. I hope to read more in the series and follow along on the guys adventures especially if Jeffrey Kafer continues to entrance me into this wonderful adventure.

Great series! Lite listens, uncomplicated plots.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
"Amazing action, story and narration."
I loved this book from start to finish. It's my first Dane Maddock adventure and obviously it's not book one but you don't need to read the rest to enjoy it. It was brilliant. In fact I'm going to have to get the rest I enjoyed it so much.
If I get into memorable moments I will ruin the story, so to be deliberately vague. I liked it when they got to the place they were looking for and got the revelations around their destination.
I loved the way they started the book which is sort of a two pronged start of ancient tim s then back to modern day. Equally the way they end on finding their destination is brilliant as is the journey to get there.
It's more action than drama but I did like it when they were piecing the clues together and Bones proposes. Laugh out loud moment that was very, very funny. Also the scene with the explorers descendent was a nice scene. We have a great story and a brilliant selection of characters. It's a really great book.
