"Charming characters, wonderfully narrated"
Hugh Fraser's narration is so immersive and endearing that it's hard not to be engrossed in the story.
"Very enjoyable listen, Narrator excellent,"
As a recent member I was impressed by the quality and versatility of the Narration. The story was a typical Agatha Christie, and I still couldn't guess "who did it"
I have not listened to many stories yet, other than Sherlock Holmes, and they both have been good so it is difficult to compare them.
I was caught into all of the scenes, but I think the a scene in the last chapter caught my imagination the most.
not really, as Murder Mysteries, don't tend to be that way inclined
Just a very good way to occupy ones time when one is busy with hand work, most enjoyable, the work just gets done.!!!!
"A Sting in the Tale!"
This is Agatha Christie at her very best! A wonderful mind bender that keeps one guessing!
Poirot's final summing up, always surprising, this time he outdid himself.
In book full of twists, turns, liars and cheats, I was more manipulated than moved. Great fun. This is a wonderful story, well read by Hugh Fraser.
"So did not expect that ending"
Some times I get who it was that did it, but not this one ... an ending that I didn't expect ... was an interesting book to listen too ... well worth the money.
"Another Christie Classic!"
Highly recommended! Another Agatha Christie classic with so many twists and turns that even Poirot's baffled! The David Suchet TV adaptation of this book follows the Christie book closely, unlike some others, so if you are a fan of the TV programmes you will love this audiobook! An must for every Christie fan!
Hastings as always is my favourite character. The perfect sidekick to Poirot. Made even better when the audiobook is read by Hugh Fraser!
As always a great performance by Hugh Fraser, he seems to understand Agatha Christie and particularly Poirot so well. This is definitely up there with his best, although "The Big Four" is my personal favourite.
I tend not to listen to any audiobook in one session, so no it wasn't.
"Peril at end House"
Poor Poriot, will he ever, get a chance of having a murder free holiday?
A damsel, in distress, how can he resist? He gets conflicting testimonials from people, which got him frustrated and confused was someone trying to kill her, or was she lying if she was lying then why........
"Please do not force customers to review things."
Please do not force customers to review things. One should be able to do it if and when.
I loved the story and the narration was brilliant and fluent throughout the whole thing
"Great book, fantastic narration"
One of Christie's best, superbly read by Hugh Fraser. Easy to listen to multiple times.
Loved it, so many twists and turns as I did some sewing, my dining room curtains may have wobbles in the hem as I kept stopping to say "oh I never expected that....hmmmm"
Hugh Fraser is as ever perfect, absolutely love his narration , he acts the characters so well, with warmth and humour. Recommend for Agatha fans of old and those just embarking on the intriguing world of Dame Christie, enjoy.
