Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Two small towns in Colorado: Hope and Despair. Between them, nothing but twelve miles of empty road. Jack Reacher can't find a ride, so he walks. All he wants is a cup of coffee. What he gets are four redneck deputies who want to run him out of town.

Mistake. They're picking on the wrong guy. Jack Reacher is a big man, and he's in shape. No job, no address, no baggage. Nothing, except bloody-minded curiosity. What is the secret the locals seem so keen to hide?

A hard man is good to find. Ex-military cop Reacher is today's most addictive hero. Now he pulls on a tiny loose thread, to unravel conspiracies that expose the most shocking truths. Because, after all, Jack Reacher has nothing to lose.

_________

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Nothing To Lose is 12th in the series.

Classic Reacher

Stops the bad guys, sleeps with the girl, leaves her in his wake. Classic Reacher.

Too long

A good start then a long, long, middle section then a sudden not believable finish. I was looking forward to the end. Good but not as great as most Reacher books.

Another great Reacher adventure

I really enjoyed this one. I felt the previous book was a bit slow, but this one is back on top form. Reacher has his attitude back. A real good listen.

Solid, but not great.

An ok story, but not among the better Reacher stories. I found it a little formulaic, nowhere near the standard of stories like The Enemy, and One Shot.

Great performance by Harding, but a weaker Reacher

Jeff Harding was brilliant as always, but I found this to be one of the weaker Jack Reacher stories so far. I still enjoyed it, but it was a bit slower, the story felt far fetched and didn't have the pacing of most of Lee Child's other work. Still worth the listen.
