"F word overused"
The F word got a little tiresome after a while. Story was good.
Overall it was engaging and fast paced
"A Sniper Elite Story not a Gil Shannon Story"
Like the other books in this series it is well written, generally has good character development, a plot or plots that are not always obvious, and connects the reader emotionally to the story and characters. However, this is not a Gil Shannon story. If you loved the earlier books in this series, as I do, you should know this is not a Master Chief Gil Shannon fast paced adventure and action story. Gill plays only a minor role in this novel. And because of it I have struggled with how to rate this latest installment of Sniper Elite. I remind myself this is the “Sniper Elite’ series not the Gil Shannon series; however it was the do the impossible, do the right thing with a good moral compass, with a sense of humor all with fast action lead character that earned my loyalty to the series. Ghost Sniper is still a good book; I just feel some disappointment and unsatisfied after listening. Rating this book as an installment in the Sniper Elite series I have given it 4 stars because at the end of the day I realized I am not invested in the ‘active’ characters in Ghost Sniper something needed to get 5 stars from me. Bottom line, this is a good book, well written, certainly one of the best of this genre but it doesn’t set the hook for the series as the earlier books do.
"What were you thinking?"
Really disappointed. The cursing throughout was unnecessary. Guess like everything else it became a novel about a Seal who was unfaithful, abandoned his wife and previous life and responsibility for a sexual frolic. Shame on the authors for going off track.
the cursing is unnecessary, unprofessional. requesting refund. lacks focus, not for avg reader. recommend other books
"the best of the best..."
I have a deep Library of similar books, but none of them are for me as good. That includes the Likes of Brad Thor, Vince Flynn and Brad Taylor. I start getting depressed once I get near the end knowing I'm going to have a long wait till the next book comes out. Oh well until then I guess.
"4 stars; not as good as the 3 prior novels..."
...in the Sniper Elite series. Ghost Sniper is a very, very good espionage thriller which I enjoyed. But it is disappointing compared to the three prior novels in the series. I suppose the bottom line is I do not like the person that the protagonist Gil Shannon became in this novel. Please give us back the Gil Shannon of the first three books in the series. The Gil Shannon in Ghost Sniper with his killing for the thrill is too much like Tom Wood's Victor the Assassin.
"It's a stretch but still entertaining!"
This Ghost Sniper series is really enjoyable. The books go in order of believability from book 1 to 4. 4 being the least believable. Still very enjoyable, good character development, action packed, and keeps your attention.
"Another Home Run!"
If you liked previous 3 you'll enjoy! Can't wait for the next one!
Ignore the negative reviews.
"A good read. It's great for filling time."
this is not to be taken too seriously. But overall it's a great book to fill a few walking or riding hours.
"Really great book"
Lots of plot twists and lots of characters. Complex and entertaining. I really enjoyed it.
"Brilliant, Awesome Series!"
Yes, The characters are fantastic... Should be a movie!
All of them, Gill, Bob and even the female characters were well narrated ...
Both, great one liners as well as huge spells of sad emotions
Well worth reading the series!
"Just could not stop listening!"
One of the best. The whole set are as good as each other.
A great performance and well measured delivery
There is no safety in distance.
More stories of these great caricatures.
Book 4 is as good as the other 3 books in this series. This is just action all the way and grabs hold and doesn't let go until the end. These authors are on my must read list. I also found myself laughing out loud at points in this book. The narration was another good job. So if you want a great listen and enjoy authors like vince flynn brad thor and clive cussler you are going to have some fun while listening to this.
"Best Sniper Elite yet"
By far the best instalment to date (and I love them all)
Well thought out plot, all the twists and turns you've come to expect, throughly gripping!
