In New Orleans' French Quarter, the Tooth Fairy isn't a benevolent sprite who slips money under your pillow at night.... He's a mysterious old recluse who must be appeased with teeth - lest he extract retribution. When young Diogenes Pendergast loses a tooth, however, his skeptical older brother Aloysius is determined to put the legend to the test...with dire consequences.

"A different take on the tooth fairy"
This is a creepy but cute 45 minute short story from from Perdergast's childhood in New Orleans. I'm aware that narrator Rene Auberjonois gets rave reviews for the Pendergast novels he narrates, but I'm not a fan.
"Great Pendergast short story, don't use a credit"
Typically convoluted and fascinating Pendergast short story--great for Halloween or around a campfire. Pay the small price, but don't use a credit, as it is so short. But definitely worth getting!
"Thank you Preston and child"
yes of course!!
It solves a mystery all Pendergas fans have wondered about.
Wonderful story telling... I love his honeyed voice.
I didn't realize that this story actually tells the reader what we have always wanted to know.
I loved it.
While I hunger for more Agent Pendergast this was a little predictable. The narrator was excellent and the story fair.
"A chilling short Aloysius - Great"
This is a short teaser before the up coming release of the next Pendergast novel. As always, his stories are chilling. This story is from his childhood and told to Constance in the living room of their house in New York. It is suitably disturbing in the traditional manner. It is worth the hour. Pop open your wallet and pay cash. Thumbs up.
"Another excellent story..."
As always, Preston and Child gave us another excellent story and Rene Auberjonois a perfect read.
"A Visit Back to Pendergast's Childhood"
It is a short story with an interesting, grisly twist on the tooth fairy.
When young Pendergast enters the old mansion of the bogus tooth fairy with his father.
He is an actor and brings the story to life in his own way.
Pendergast of course!
"Way to Short!"
I enjoyed this short story however the last 18 minutes or so are not part of it. Because of this and the price I felt a little cheated.
"Don't listen in the dark!"
This standalone short story is just the right amount of creepy. terrific narration as well as content: I enjoyed the glimpses into the childhood of the Pendergast boys.
"fantastic and gripping"
loved the dark intensity of this short story. Agent Pendergast never disappoints. A must read for all of his fans.
