In 1993 Harry Bosch was assigned the case of a missing person, Marie Gesto. The young woman was never found--dead or alive--and the case has haunted Bosch ever since.
Thirteen years later Bosch is in the Open Unsolved Unit when he gets a call from the DA's office. A man accused of two killings is willing to confess to several other murders in a deal to avoid the death penalty. One of his victims, he says, is Marie Gesto. Bosch begins to crack when he realises he and his partner missed a clue back in 1993 which could have prevented the nine murders that followed the killing of Marie Gesto.

"Classic Harry Bosch"
A great crime thriller from the master of suspense. As always Harry is a flawed policeman who is frequently on the edge of the thin blue line in his pursuit of the mission. This is a particularly well put together example in the series. The narrator Len Cariou as always does a great job and brings the characters to life.
"Bosch never disappoints"
Great reading of another compelling Harry Bosch novel. I loved it. I always know that I will enjoy Connelly's writing.
"Another great Harry Bosch tale"
I love Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch books and this is no exception. A riveting story, brilliant narration from Len Cariou and mentions of previous cases or people which, if you have listened to the previous audiobooks, make you feel like an insider in what is going on. Superb
