Brilliant story
I do love Kerry Greenwood's books. but unfortunately the Maori words where dreadfully mispronounced. I cringed at every "Marai" said.
Narrators need to learn the correct pronunciation for native language out of respect for the people if nothing else

Another Hit
Great listen full of lovely imagery. Not keen on the kiwi accent, bit over done and a few Maori words need to be checked for pronunciation . Despite that a fun listen.

Another fabulous book from K Greenwood
Each of Kerry’s books delight and intrigue me most I have listened to repeatedly. Death by water was very much a delight which I will undoubtedly repeat many times.

Love it.... but
Overall this book is amazing, the story is really interesting and it's fun to see Miss Fisher solving crimes without all her regular minions.
The narrator is brilliant I only have one issue. The Maori words. They are pronounced so badly that some aren't recognisable as the words they are supposed to be. I wish in the lead up to recording they had at least looked up the pronunciation online and actually listened to them. Maori is a beautiful language and although some sounds are hard to get when you aren't born to the language it should at least have been given the effort to try and get it right- especially since effort is made in other books containing languages outside of English.

Another great Phryne Tale
Loved this story: the setting characters, twists and outcomes. A fun showcase of New Zealand elements too. Kerry Greenwood's writing is a delight, and Stephanie Alexander narratesike no other.
