Flabby

This book should have been better. If it had had a decent edit, it could have been. However, although the story is interesting, it's overly complex, as if the author got lost and wasn't sure how to tie up loose ends. Way too many popular song references. doubling as dialogue. One is cute. Use too many and it looks like lack of imagination. Last but not least, the plot is often not logical. The old 'hold you in the cellar so I can tell you the whole story before I kill you' device is, at best, lazy.
If you aren't too fussy about detail, nd don't mind a choppy narrative, you'll enjoy this book. Even I got to the end.
