Publisher's Summary

When Cora is savagely murdered with a hatchet, the extraordinary remark she made the previous day at her brother Richard's funeral suddenly takes on a chilling significance.

At the reading of Richard's will, Cora was clearly heard to say: "It's been hushed up very nicely, hasn't it...But he was murdered, wasn't he?"

In desperation, the family solicitor turns to Hercule Poirot to unravel the mystery.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Hugh Fraser is a wonderful narrator and even sounds like David Suchet’s Poirot in voice. I really enjoy Agatha Christie’s books even more then the Tele-movies (which are also excellent) because of the red herrings she scatters throughout.

Wonderful!

Hugh Fraser is an absolutely lovely reader! I've always been a huge admirer of Agatha Christies work and After the Funeral only furthers that admiration. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Another Brilliant Work of Christie

Can't really fault a good Christie with a nice hot cup of tea and a warm blanket.

This has always been one of my favourite stories because I couldn't guess the ending and it hit me like a tonne of bricks when the murderer was revealed.
