Ricky Gervais, of course, is the award-winning co-creator and star of The Office (upon which the current NBC hit series is based) and HBO's Extras. Steve Merchant, who also stars in Extras, is his long-time creative partner. Karl is a pile of protoplasm that mimics the functions of a human being.
Don't forget to download The Complete First Season , The Complete Second Season, and the The Complete Third Season of the Ricky Gervais Show, plus The Podfather Trilogy - Season 4 of the Ricky Gervais Show.

"If Mr. Gervais made only podcasts for the rest of his career, I'd keep downloading." (The New York Times)
"Their Previous Material Was Slightly Better"
Although, like the title says, I found this volume of the Ricky Gervais podcasts not quite up to par with their previous material, I still thought it was amazing. Definately worth your money.
I've downloaded all Ricky-Stephen-Karl audio books, love these guys, have to say they are some of the most funny comedians, well, can't really call Karl a comedian but anyhow... download it, you'll love it.
"Funny but short"
I am perhaps spoiled by the length and fairly consistent humour of the first season of the Ricky Gervais podcast. It was quite lengthy, and fairly consistently hilarious.
To be fair, Season five is definitely funny, and for those who feel bad for Karl from time to time, it is nice to see Ricky and Steven get their share as well.
Sound quality, as always is excellent. Generally funny content. Karl seems to be getting wiser, which makes him stand up for himself more effectively even if we do miss his riduculously bizarre ideas and assumptions.
For those who heard all four previous seasons, I would compare it in quality to Season 3, definitely it is better than season 2.
Perhaps the most telling line, though, comes near the start of the file, when they are having an abortive start to the recording session and after some discussion about whether people should have to pay for such crap (forget the exact quote, might have been "drivel") Karl says something like "don't worry, we'll leave this bit out if we have enough material. If people are hearing this, then it didn't go well".
I suspect that about summed it up. They got together, had a few laughs, but whatever tensions have been keeping them out of the studio until now must have limited the amount of content generated.
Well, that's my theory anyway. Can't complain about the price, only a couple of bucks, but definitely not worth an audible credit.
Anyone who has never heard them before should start with Season 1, it is their best material and is a lot of content for the buck.
Inane but hilarious as always. If you are new to The Ricky Gervais Show start with the earlier seasons to get a feel for the format. It started with a podcast so it's not quite like a book-on-tape or a radio show. The worst thing about the show is that there is never enough of it.
After listening to every podcast these three have recorded I feel like I can almost predict some of their responses. I find myself laughing outloud at some of their bickering and story telling. Well worth a listen.
Absolute, complete, non-stop drivel from Fatty, Googly Eyes and Orange Head. EXACTLY as advertised.
"Typical content from this trio... Meh"
Typical content from these 3 friends (Ricky, Steve, & Karl), so hilarious as usual.
If you have never listened, or watched, anything from this trio, than let me sum it up for you right now. Remember being in high school, hanging out with 2 of your close friends? Well picture that one of the 2 friends is a half-witted, uneducated, pea brained, balding twat (Karl). What would you (Ricky), and the other friend (Steve), do for entertainment? You would probably spend a great deal of time f***ing with, or making fun of, the dopey, dumb twat (The Ricky Gervais Show).
"LOVE these guys!"
These 3 never fail to make me laugh. I adore them. I find it as funny the 5th time I listen to it as I did the first.
"last and least"
This is the least funny in the Ricky Gervias show series. I have laughed repeatedly at the trilogy, but this one, just wasn't as funny.
The program is quite different in format from other talk shows. It is too strange for my taste. Too much emphasis on deviant behaviors (alternative life styles), in my opinion.
"Listening to this makes life worth living!"
I would honestly walk over hot coals to know that these people would continue to make podcasts into their nineties. This is not comedy in the usual sense, this is listening to three naturally funny personalities conversing in a way you just have to listen to for yourself - to know is to enjoy! Listen to them all! I do feel a bit sorry for Karl Pilkington though, I think they can be a bit rough on him! I think he is a genius in his own way, quite clearly!
Most of it rubbish but amongst it sometimes there is a deep statement, love him! Listen and you will be hooked!
"Ricky, Steve and Karl on top form."
Love it. I have every piece of audio theyve ever done, and love it all. Its so unique, and not just their comedy, each audiobook is different, not as repetitive as i thought it'd be.
Just cant wait for the rest of their "Guide to" series :D
I ONLY SUBSCRIBE BECAUSE OF THESE PODCASTS / AUDIOBOOKS. GERVAIS, MERCHANT AND PILKINGTON ARE IN A LEAGUE ENTIRELY OF THEIR OWN.
"The worst of the 5, still worth every penny!"
This strips away all regular features and moves away from just probing Karl's imagination. Ricky and Steve take time to tell their own stories, and while still great, its maybe the least timeless of all 5 series. Still, anything the trio touch is 5-star material, so don't be put off.
When will these return with this format of shows? Let's hope they make it soon as I am missing the tv shows
"Ricky gervais show 5*"
Just ricky, karl and steve talking. A fantastic listen. Just a good honest comedy show about a bald headed mank simpleton and his 2 friends.
I laughed from beginning to end, Ricky's laugh is so infectious.....
They all bounce off each other perfectly...
Omg Sooooo funny....
I love this trio! They are so funny. I listen to various series most days. It can be embarrassing when I'm listening to them while undo the weekly shop because they have me roaring with laughter!
"A Successful Formula"
Enjoyable up to a point.
However I wonder if this threesome can go on much longer when the only substance appears to be the loveable baffoon (Pilkington) being the butt of all the jokes.
Shame it wasn't longer :( Here's to hoping they make another one. Cheers to Karl Pilkington
